    Heu, we are 440 players online atm. First Friday Night after Last Wipe.

    This is worrying not ?

    Well, is this the final wipe for Alpha but not the final wipe before full release? Or was this the actual final wipe period?

    is that for steam? there could be players playing the non-steam client... still, it's kinda small... second life has like 40k online right now...

    The steam numbers to not reflect the total numbers of how many are online. You can always ask @DarkStarr or @Berek

    This is the final, final wipe. There are no more wipes after this. The game is now persistent through release.

    Its the final wipe, period. No more wipes, what we get / do now carries through into live the only difference is the completeness of the world and level of polish etc.

    I, and most of friend I know who play didnt buy via steam and didnt link it so it could be anything from 10% to 90% of players registering on steam, only the devs will know, probably nearer 50% but could be anything.

    Don't worry about if other people are playing an MMO? That's a loaded response. I'm sure there are seven people somewhere in the world who still enjoy playing Auto Assault, who also felt the same way once.

    Well, to play devil's advocate, from the POV that if a game had a small playerbase, and we know that playerbases generally shrink over time as people get bored, a small playerbase is absolutely something to worry about.

    What did you expect all?

    Over 10% of all Game Owners are currently online.
    I think that is a high participation rate.

    Maybe when Shroud of the Avatar starts 3 months before final launch the PR campaign with "new trailer" and Interviews you get more mew Gamers.
    So you one day have 100 000 owners.

    But to expect higher concurrent players is silly. Ark has sold over 3,5 Million Games and has currently 53000 players in the game.

    So they have far less concurrent players online of the player base they have sold the game. Only 1.7%
