UPDATE: We are delaying the Free Tickets until the Release 34 Raffle. Updated text below:

As mentioned in the Release 33 instructions we have begun the distribution of in-game Lot Deeds via Raffles. The raffles will be monthly and for this first month's raffle we will be handing out 75 Place Anywhere Deeds and 600 Player Owned Town Deeds. Raffle Tickets can be purchased from Home Decoration merchants in various locations throughout the game.

For those backers who do not yet own property we are going to automatically enter you into both Raffles in Release 34! Anyone who has game access to Shroud of the Avatar, but does NOT yet own property at the beginning of Release 34 (September 29, 2016), will automatically be given a gift of 1 Raffle Ticket of each type to the R34 Raffle. To claim your tickets simply login to the game, go to the nearest bank and claim your rewards. The drawings will be held on October 27, 2016 and winners will be announced shortly thereafter. Deeds will be delivered in Release 35.

Backers are not eligible for this gift if they meet the following criteria on September 29, 2016:
    • Own an Ancestor Pledge or above
    • Own a Viking 2-Story Row Bundle or above
    • Own a Kobold 2-Story Row Bundle or above
    • Own any quantity of Add On Store Deeds
    • Own any deeds won through previous drawings, contests, etc.

So let me get this right........support the game to "x" level and you are put at a disadvantage. There are LOTS (excuse the pun) of players right now struggling to pay rent on houses they bought from your store.......now to add insult to injury you are giving away 15,000 gold to players who did not buy a lot?

    Sorry but that is poor.

    Good move!

Although, it does drastically decrease the odds of anyone that paid into the raffle already (like me). Since there were only what, a few hundred people playing the game (like me) it stood to reason only a few hundred people would be in the raffle (probably less with the 10k entry fee). But now, anyone breathing is in the raffle! Ha! So my odds and my money just went POOF.

I think in this situation it would be understandable if people that paid in felt a little on the upset side. It's great for evening the odds, but not so hot for the dead bodies of people that paid in. :)

I'm not really upset about my 10k in gold (that represents 5 hours of playing time, btw). I'm just trying to point out that as people cry about this, they will have a point. If possible, I recommend buying back the raffle tickets from players that paid for them, in-game.

I do recall from somewhere that someone said......simply cant remember who.......that everyone is treated equally and fairly regardless of pledge level.

I spent all my gold on raffle tickets despite owning two tax-free lots. I don't need property. I was hoping to win something and give it to a guild member without property and maybe keep one deed away from a scalper.

Now the statistical likelihood of me winning was vastly reduced to the point that all my gold went into nothing.

But on the whole I'm actually happy about helping those without property.

Fabulous decision. People who are exempt for this offer generally already have a rich position in the game and it totally makes sense to spread the wealth 'a little' and give new players a step up. This is taking nothing away from older backers, they can still enter the raffle but it just gives the little guy a good chance to own a spot in the world. Maybe people that have already bought tickets can get a refund would be fair but that's the only downside from my point of view.

Awesome, all that gold I spent has turned into near worthless raffle tickets. This **** should have been posted BEFORE people PAID for their raffle tickets.

So that's like an extra 40k raffle tickets?

Good luck to everyone in the raffle!

1 ticket isn't much of a chance compared to someone who spent 100 tickets.

Changing systems mid-flight without explaining the details to people isn't a great tactic and tends to destroy trust, but I'd rather people without property have some chance rather than none.

Depends. If all paid backers log into the game and visit the bank, that is 30-40k more tickets.

But most backers are still inactive it would seem.

I wonder how many accounts Guni has? lol

This move is actually really good, it makes the raffle more like a lottery - which is what it should've been like to begin with. I'm totally for the move, and would support any future raffle being accounts without property ONLY.

However, to change the rules in mid-stream, that's a tough one to defend. I think it's perfect if they let people cash out though.

Yes i agree on that, people that already paid should have option of withdrawing really, but if they don't the +'s outweigh the -'s by far imo. They should also do this EACH raffle, for new players, they automatically entered into the raffle for the following month. That's a great marketing move for sure.

It's a great idea if you tell people before the raffle starts. Announcing this after people have spent a bunch of gold on them is a big problem.

I had already spent 20,000 gold on raffle tickets (one place anywhere and two POTs) and I still think it's great.

@Berek Can you give away a ticket, or is it tied to the person who bought the ticket?
