[Ok, I originally planned to enter this for the contest, but after having it written all up I noticed the 50 word limit so I'm just gonna put it here and enter something else into the contest ^_^]

In the swampier parts of Serenite, during one of your fishing trips, you notice a small Kobold settlement...

As you are wary, spotting a kobold from the window, you decide to circle the house first.

"Fish thieves will be thrown from the roof!" you can read in a barely legible handwriting on the sign, the skeletons underneath prove that it is not only an empty threat. Still, you decide to try the front door.

Upon opening the door a strong odor greets you, a debilitating mix of old fish and blood, rotten vegetables, too, the source of it is quite obvious. Yet another sign proclamaets "Rub a kobold with a fish and make a wish!" You see also a large chest with "public fish chest" carved into the lid.

And in the midst of this mess - the perpetrator! Humming contently he is in the midst of cutting up a carcass.

As he notices you he grunts a greeting "Ah, hooman, have you'se come to bring me fish?" his eyes light up. Luckily, you have a present for the strange creature. With a surprising quickness the kobold snatches the salmon - still warm, you just caught it - and in one large bite takes off the head. Crunching and spewing scales he mumbles "Deliciousss!" he swallows, laboriously, then gestures towards the next room "Come on in, hooman, I will show you the great feats of kobold architecture!"


He continues to show you around; there is a living room with a chess board set up and a small nook for stashing supplies and stores that somehow did not fit into the kitchen.



Upstairs he has a a writing desk for his schemings, covered in part with papers with drawings of mechanical contraptions only kobolds could contrive. A large dragon bone throne with a cozy ottoman are his favourite sitting and reading spot. "A gift from a hooman friend" he adds, pointing his claw at the throne, before climbing up the ladder to the rooftop. Here he has set up a telescope. I hope his human neighbors know what he is up to?

I needed to share this shot. I saw this while in Nighshade pass. Never seen the eye in the sky before. Pretty creepy.

The light is getting improved, more smooth, i like see the blue glow of my cloak mixed with other light sources.

and I cant wait to finally summon something more useful than a chaotic clone, who thinks it is a musician...

Travel from Soltown, passing under Solania to reach Ardoris, using the sewer is very cool, many passages to ruins and caves, lots of free houses, but the neighborhood is awful, unfortunately.

 

It's good to warm my bones beside the fire.
