We were discussing this in the chat and have mixed feelings about whether or not it's appropriate to announce spoilers like the locations of the Easter eggs and other hidden surprises around owls head... But on the forum that's not an issue as you can consolidate the discussion to one thread flagged spoilers. So hows this? :p

Discuss any Easter eggs, hidden surprises and other stuff a player might prefer to stumble on then be told about here.

    I'll start us off.
If you look very carefully in the chicken room...
You can find 3 chickens. :p

Edit: Will add to this as I go.
The guard near the entrance is watching sheep for Marian... A homage to Mariah perhaps? :p
Ask Myra about the the Clink.
You can find a lot of the community submitted content throughout the town. In particular there seems to be a church filed with it near the viking house.
Several locked doors can be opened if you can figure out what the hidden switch to open them nearby is.

There are 15 chests with decorations furniture and 6 chests with equipable gear. Pretty much every NPC building has a chest. :p

I can't find anything. I just get lost, go in circles...then it gets dark and I need to take a break.

I Played...My Major Observations that nee improvement that others have touched on as well:
    1. Camera, constant right clicking is annoying, mouse look would be nice without clicking.
    2. No Jump capability, I realize its alpha, so its probably coming.
    3. Compass, Compass, Compass, with GPS locations would be nice for locating and remembering locations, especially for us who get lost.
    4. Dialogue with NPCs seemed they did not understand simple questions needs improvement, How are you? etc.
    5. Faster ways of travel throughout a given local(city , urban, etc..)
    6. External House decorations, coloring etc. All houses looking the same is bland.
    7. Mail Boxes? Was there any mention of having them, and mailing others in the game.
    8. NPCs made no sound, it would be nice to hear some vocals etc.
    9. Jump capability or at least falling, having to run around to go down the stairs is time consuming.

Graphics and Music are excellent for an alpha release!

This ruins so many MMO's.. I recently tested Elder Scrolls Online and didn't even look at the game but followed exactly where the compass told me to go.. Needless to say i was bored of the game in 5 minuets.. Please don't add this to the game!

Minimap, compass, and location are not bad, it's the radar and tracking that's bad

I agree with this in reference to the GPS comment. But having a sextant in game you can use in combination with a map to figure out where you are (Ala classic ultima), and a compass you can use to determine which way you are facing, would be useful.

I think a minimap, if ALL it is is a minimap and all it shows is the terrain/buildings, as it was in UO, is extremely useful for navigation. It's when you start showing monsters and people and quests and points of interest and all that crap that it gets stupid.

I agree that a compass telling you which way to go is bad, but a compass simply telling you which way is north wouldn't go astray - especially if you get lost. I like the idea of map/location access being skill related.
I also like the idea of being able to leave messages in other people's mailboxes - though it would have to be optional.

Has anyone found a way to open some of the locked doors in the npc buildings? I'm guessing there's a leer somewhere but couldn't find any. Also, any way into the tesla tower and where's the clink!

Unless you can try to open the door and get a noise, I don't think there's a way to open it. Ones that give the noise will have a switch of some kind nearby. Watch the color of your cursor/pointer.

I believe the Tesla tower is blocked which is why the NPC there has been kicked outside.

    Dunno about the Clink

There's a handful of doors in NPC building which are stuck and can't be opened yet. You can't get into the telsa tower yet either (At least not without exploiting bugs, and if you do get in it's empty anyway).
It has been confirmed the Clink isn't in yet. It's apparently an actual dungeon which will be added later along with the bone caverns.
There is an ingame chat of sorts but it's not public. You can send whispers (private messages) to other logged on players you know the full names of by typing "/w [player name] message" without quotes.
