You can put these items in public cache chests. In fact, if you look around carefully in game, you might find some special items freely available to take, if you explore
I think the non-discard items are also all non-trade items, because they're things like quest items or are otherwise marked non-tradeable ; so that would prevent you from putting it in a cache chest, too.
There are some items that cannot be destroyed but can be traded. They are for example some of the paintings that are this way. Don't ask me how I know
Tools that are not destructible and I did not need I put in public boxes because maybe someone else may need them. But here I have some notes for the bulletin board which I would like to have destroyed but which is not.
btw, I left a hint in here that is essentially a player created quest (by me). But nobody really got it
I'm kinda tired of looking at the first two lottery tickets i didnt win and cant delete. I was keeping them as a memento, yet since i haven't won ever, I became disenchanted but can't delete 'em. THE HENDOMAN
Could send a few of my mistyped yule cards of yore through in-game mail as protest against not having a trash can... but maybe that underused vendor idea is the best answer for now. Would hate to see these treasures mailed back to me [return to sender]. "I wish to place a trash barrel"
I would like to 2nd the fact that there are quest items out there that stay after the quest is done, can't be destroyed, and just sit there like a cancer... x.x
There was a player quest with a box with 5 cotos as a reward sitting out in the open for a year before somone found the clues. I had one sitting on a hill in ordinis for like a month just to the right of the entrance with 3 cotos and some artifacts that sat there for a month before somone found it.
Coming back to this thread after doing some fishing in-game... I would like to suggest adding a "Good Will" donation box and a "Feed the Needy" dropoff in the Fishing expedition scene. Then, when I'm done fishing, I can unload all the unwanted cloth/leather clothing and all the bass, trout, salmon, etc. that I will have no use for. Sure, I could just sell them all the the vendor, but maybe we could have donation boxes that help improve our Virtue standing as an alternative to receiving the gold?
Hmm, how did I miss that? I guess List felt the need to add a treasure chest there, huh? Now if we can get them to include a Virtue bonus for adding things to it, that would be perfect!
A public cache chest can be configured separately for take in and put out. A public cache chest that looks like a wastebasket or wastebarrel would be cool. Let's be honest here, for the RP aspect, a wastebarrel would be nice. Especially to place it outside your door where passing players can dumpster dive.
