http://ultima.wikia.com/wiki/Exodus So in Ultima Lore, Exodus was a computer that had a Daemon like life-force or personality and that had a some kind of a disk or power supply called the Dark Core, which was the only thing that survived. It's machine body was destroyed by feeding it the 4 cards way back in Ultima III. Pretty weird stuff. But the Oracle seems kind of similar idea from the concept art: I just found the similarities in part machine, part mythic figure kind of interesting. Do you think the Oracle will turn out to be evil ?
What? Come on.. those are clearly orange! I have always been suspicious of big sister here. Though we know now she was created by the Titans within the past few hundred years so I doubt she'll turn evil in the purer sense. They seem to be playing her up as a purely neutral figure.
I'll light a candle near her statue head in my lot and make some offerings. I don't want her to get mad and turn me into a sewer rat or a slime!.
Of course, the Oracle is the long lost daughter of Exodus A portion of Exodus escaped destruction in Ultima III and was shot off into space, traveling through a wormhole to another universe. It crash landed on a planet of living machines which constructed a body for it and sent her back home in a spaceship... The Oracle wants to enslave the human population of New Britannia (i.e., turn us into mindless drones) Too bad those darn Obsidians got in the way and ruined everything... Nah, that couldn't be it That was Star Trek:The Motion Picture and Star Trek:The Next Generation
Anyway, the point being, she acts as a neutral arbiter, but in order to do so, takes away people's freedom -- which some would consider evil.
Well I always DID wonder where Shodan ended up after escaping with Tommy in the shuttle....... Always thought she was a bit misunderstood.....
The Oracle is a bio-computer and her "blessing" is a message transmitted at subspace frequencies only perceived by avatars who become homicidal maniacs at the sound. heard it here first
