Verdantis Mines lower level, annoying/crazy respawn rate

    Well i spent some time over the weekend mining again.
    I Think they did adjust the spawn rates and the aggro range of the Earth Elementals some what.
    I also think they turned back down the Ore spawn rates. I guse it is what it is.
    But at least we can go in thete and mine now

    What I have noticed is that the spawns now seem independent.

    Pre-R34 it seemed like the spawner could only spawn one at a time in the room with the pulse timer counting from the last spawn done (meaning the first kill would see a really quick respawn).

    The crazy period was when the spawns seemed linked. The spawner would pulse and spawn several (usually 4) at once time.

    Now it seems like each earth elemental has a chance to spawn per pulse, rather than all of them spawning at once. This usually ends up with only one or two spawning which is pretty manageable. I still get in trouble if I get four-spawn which I did encounter over the weekend. But it is definitely better.

    Ore spawn rate seemed fine to me.

    There are other places to mine by the way. Owls Nest has top tier nodes that have nothing guarding them at all except a couple of low level wolves. Complaining that a tier 5 zone has tier 5 mobs in it seems a bit strange.
    Edit: If you go via the Owlshead sewers you literally only have to kill one ghost and run past a slime then you can mine all day without an interrupt.

    Is this new, I'll check it out today .. last time I was in Owls Nest it only had sapphire crystals, copper- and iron nodes.

    Silver tends to the hard to get metal. I'd consider copper and iron as low-tier. They are everywhere!

    nodes have actual tiers determining the exp gained from harvest. Also if you want easier silver, try the 30 or so silver nodes in Vertas Pass

    This was two weeks ago. This are my last (today) 1h/silver run numbers in Elysium;

    Adv 70 - only 1 GM combat skill (ranged), archer-mage build.

    Mining skills: Mining 85 - Swift gathering 81 and Meticulous 70

    1h/mining: 183 silver ores (using only potion of Expedience).

    All mobs are greens for me in Elysium and even with the annoying respawn timer for Earth elementals, I think the ores output is pretty good.

    Couldnt agree more.

    Also yes therea much easier places to find silver. Theres silver in 1 and 2 skull area.
    Guildy just poked and said theres 14 nodes together in a tier 1 zone he found.
    Is this mine even the best? *shrug* lol.
    Ive np with elys. But i will say that it does feel easier in last few weeks. Ore seems slower but less fighten so not sure. Generaly im around 150/h .

    Improved my personal best today with 210/h. Look how is possible to mine silver efficiently without any GM skill.

    Mining skills: Mining 85 - Swift gathering 86 (+ potion of expedience) and Meticulous 70

    1h/mining: 210 silver ores (27 ores more compared with monday run).

    This time I only used magic (even with my ranged gear on me, leather/bow set).

    hp:: 458
    focus: 472

    Discharge 70
    Ice Fist 60
    Flame Fist 40
    Immolation 15 (started today, this was optional)
