New/returning Player

Hi everyone!

I pledged in 2013 for SotA but never really played it until 2018/19 but also not very long.
But I was looking for an oldschool epg with the possibility to play with other people. So I remembered it and only hat good memories.
My question is, what should I read before starting it again, what are good tips and guides, is there something I could make wrong right from the start, or can I play the way I want? Is the VIP subscription worth it?
I am happy to hear some thoughts and suggestion and get to know the community.
I also read that the developer name changed but its still the core team. Is this concerning? Or was it even good for the game?

Yes, but it's also not necessary at all to enjoy the game.

The returning players thread is a must read for sure! And if you have s while playing, don't hesitate to use /u Universe chat to ask for help. This game is pretty amazing once you put the time in to learn it, and the community here is second to none.

Hi and welcome back @Elledar . I hope you have a great time. So many improvements to the game since you last played. What to do and how to do them can seem overwhelming for some but lots of guides in game and out. I'm Majoria in game if I can help. If you don't see me online just send me a mail message from any mailbox and I check my mail most days. Don't forget the teleport to zone scrolls. They mark all destinations you visit . Just drag to your hot bar. Then when un-encumbered click on it and see the destinations you can teleport to.
