I thought you guys might enjoy these.. I seem to recall making them while I was still figuring things out.




R24 I believe was back when the constellations were traveling the wrong way (and thus appearing in the wrong order).

 

I have wondered about the timings of our comet and does it have a name? I have suspected that it will be a key in future episodes. I don't even know if it moves through the constellations.
I took some screen shots last year to compare with when it returns.
Maybe somebody knows the answers.

If I swap the durations of Carnality and Vanity then everything is correct. That means that al the current sources (sotawiki, The Heavens and this post) are all incorrect.

 

What specifically should thay be? I can update that.

 

I think he's saying the durations are correct in general but for the wrong planets. Just swap the numbers.

 

Just to be 1000% sure, I have updated the following pages, and with sources:

Vanity - Vanity is an orbital body visible in the sky above New Britannia. This object completes a full orbit every 29 days. (was stated as 23)
Carnality - Carnality is an orbital body visible in the sky above New Britannia. This object completes a full orbit every 23 days. (was stated as 29)

Yes, these are the numbers that come out correct.

 

Whoever wrote the Siege Mapper web page also determined that Carnality and Vanity were swapped, as it seems to be correct.

 

Just to be completely clear, Carnality is the metal Krusty-O and Vanity is the toilet bowl swirl, right?

 

To be completely honest, it would be far better to actually confirm and verify the objects within a constellation, and see who comes up (in NPC Towns sieges). And with no other cabalists in the constellation.

The wiki could be off on that (that info was added SO long ago).

• Dolus: The Cabalist of Deceit who causes confusion in the ranks.
• Temna: The Cabalist of Despite who turns allies against each other.
• Nefario: The Cabalist of Dastard (Cowardice) who strikes terror into those who dare oppose him.
• Nefas: The Cabalist of Injustice who causes enemies to beg for mercy.
• Avara: The Cabalist of Punishment who inflicts huge amounts of damage that lingers for long amounts of time.
• Indigno: The Cabalist of Dishonor who generates large clouds of poisonous gas.
• Corpus: The Cabalist of Carnality who forces opponents to disrobe, therefore losing all their defensive protection.
• Fastus: The Cabalist of Vanity who mesmerizes opponents.

They didn't give pictures of each Cabalist and it's associated orbiting object. I can only *assume* that was checked and verified when it was added years ago to the wiki (it might actually be correct). That info might be in some older release notes, but I don't know offhand.

 

The funny thing is that you have to know which planetary bodies are associated with which cabalist in order to read a moondial. It would be nice to get some verification from the SotA team.

 

That’s easy enough to go and confirm yourself. I would just confirm and verify exactly how it’s currently working in the game and document that.

 

Well, it can be confirmed but it's not easy. I'll certainly spend some time (when I have it) doing sieges to verify the presence of the cabalists.

 

Such a vast verification procedure could be done with a large organized group effort. That would most definitely be helpful. But you can go and verify and document this yourself. And when you have the time.

 

The symbols are on the cabalist weapons.

 

On their masks as well.
