Has anyone seen a post about any Steam download metrics? Like number of new people through Steam or downloads, etc? I downloaded it through Steam to test it out, etc, so I realize the Steam metrics will include old (as well as new) players.

I'm just curious how the Steam community is perceiving this game and if it's helped bring in new people, etc. :)

Never mind, I realize it's not open to the public yet :)

Anyone else stuck at the "Processing your request" loading page when trying to get a key from steam on this website?

Edit: Or should steam access only work for developer level and above in this upcoming test? Been gone awhile... :)

Getting the same message. (IANA developer+)

Edit: Never mind. Now it tells me "It looks like you either already own this game on Steam, or you already redeemed a Steam access key." and to email support.

Edit 2: Despite the error message, it worked and the game is now in my Steam library.

sigh just ended up spending $90 dollers that i shouldn't have to see how well the game plays thru steam it's downloading now so far no problems. oh well on the plus side i love crafting in games and i can sort of count this as a early x-mas present and i also don't have to worry about paying for episodes II and III :)

I would like Sota in my Steam collection but Mad Hermit said it's only 32bit, Would this run ok with 64bit Operating system? or should I stick to the standalone version? cheers.

So far it seems that the 32bit is more stable than the 64bit.
You can run both using a 64bit system, but you will of course not get full advantage of your 64bit system if you run a 32bit application.

Anecdotal; 64-bit was completely unplayable for me last release.

It will be easier enough for them to offer both through Steam later down the track. :)

Currently Steam only has the 32 bit version available. Once the 64 bit version becomes more stable they plan on having the 64 bit version available. Another reason why they don't offer both is how they've coded switching between the two versions of the app. From what I understand they aren't able to do it the same way for Steam. So it restricts them from having both versions available. I don't know if there is a way to do it. They may be exploring a way....

I suppose I will install the steam version as last release had very slow framerate for me. perhaps 32bit will run quicker?

@Miganarchine The 32-Bit build will work on your 64-Bit system. It just won't be able to access RAM above 4GB. Also, as @Dean478 said, the 32-Bit build is more stable at this point anyway.

Steam has been a life saver for me. I was able to download the game via steam and play within 3 hours, instead if it taking 3 days over the old client.

This alone makes steam very valuable to me :)
