PAX South Free Weekend Access Help Please!

Hey folks,

We were really blown away by the little demo at PAX South (and meeting Lord British wooo!) but cannot find any way to log into the game for the free weekend mentioned at the show and in the R14 Release email. Can anybody please help me sort this out?

Everyone in my little group signed up and none of us can figure how to play - after launching the game, it says that our accounts (using the same emails we registered with at PAX) don't have Play access, and we can't go further without backing the game.

 

Send a note to support@portalarium.com to have them double check all the e-mail address they collected were enabled for R14.

 

That won't get me far... all three of us can't get in (so it's not just my account), and the free weekend is NOW. By the time support replies, it'll be next week and we'll have missed our window.

 

Unfortunately, that's the best method I can think of, save for knowing their personal phone #'s. And if you miss this weekend due to an error on their part, perhaps they'll let you in the following weekend. The servers are up 24/7 now for testing.

 

Did they email you anything like a Steam key or something? I have no idea, just spitballing.

You will have to forgive me as I am only a moderator and not familiar with the process that Portalarium used for the PAX signups, but I will do my best to help.

Am I correct in my understanding that you were emailed some information on how to sign up for the weekend?

All they sent out was the R14 release email...

 

At PAX South, they said that this weekend would be free for people who signed an online form at the booth. Since then, we've gotten the R14 release email that mentions PAX South attendees in the first paragraph and that it'd be available on Thursday (1/29), but no other special details for how to log in.

 

Ok, in that case it does seem that you will need to wait for Portalarium assistance. But don't worry too much, they are a wonderfully understanding bunch, and they will do their best to make sure y0u get to try things out.

All the instructions you need are linked in that email. You will NOT recieve a Steam Key. You just need to download, install and play

 

Not true. You just need to play through our launcher. Sorry for the misunderstanding

This is not correct. I downloaded, istalled, and when I tried to play it demanded a username and password. I created an account at this site ,did not link to steam. When I log into the game launcher with this user/pass, it tells me I don't have Play access on the account.

 

My apologies. Did you use exact same email?

 

If we cannot resolve this over weekend we will get you access for next week

 

I did, and so did the other two people who signed up along with me

None of us have access to the game.
