Buying from Steam

    I was wondering what happens if I purchase the game from steam instead of through the SOTA website. Do I still get the items I would if I pledge through SOTA directly or will i just get game access and nothing else? Also, if I buy it during the summer sale for a discount how will that work for the pledge package amount?

    You get the things you'd get at the pledge level - even when it's on sale. At least, I did so I'd assume you'll get it too.:)

    Regardless of sale price, you receive the "Adventurer" level benefactor pledge (and all the rewards that come with that) when you purchase from Steam.

    After that you can use the SOTA website to upgrade to another tier if you so choose. :)

    It counts as an "Adventurer" level pledge of $45. You get all the same perks as you would from buying from the store. Source: myself; I did the same last time it was on sale.

    Ok, 1 more question for you guys. i just purchased through steam. How do I link my steam account with my SOTA account so that it shows my backer status?
