i propose that if to much death happens in one house within a certain time frame that it can become haunted, the walls bleed, the shadows attack you and the spirits manifest into ghosts.

might give some additional uses for banish undead and purify as well.

Who knows maybe we will get a haunted house dungeon for the release. I really liked the haunted house in EQ2. It was really a bit eerie since the family living in the house had been killed and their ghosts were running throughout the house and you had to solve the mystery of the house to get out. That was the best I'd seen in a games halloween events, plus of course all the Halloween stuff you could get.

The thing that bothered me the very most about EQ2 was that you could get tons of stuff to place but very little of it did anything.

I went back and visited one of my gorgeous 'cash store purchased' homes and it was loaded with tons of stuff I had gotten from quests and events and purchases. Some would sparkle and glow, have icy textures, music boxes would play a song, but I couldn't interact with it otherwise. I had a gorgeous sled with reindeer and I could not even get up in it, I could just look at. It was boring after a while, my housefull of collectables. I could go and stare at them only so much. Very Interactive is always the way to go.;)

Interesting. Oh how about if a house is abandoned for too long it turns haunted for some period of time before the lot deed / house reverts to the bank?

I can see we'll have to build a place to kill Ravicus repeatedly...so he can have his haunted house. ;)

I always thought that the Lord Founder house looks a little bit like the Addams family mansion. (And that is why I like it)

Just a thought. Since upon death you leave a corpse. Why not get creative and spell things with your corpse!!

Im all for this! Though I might specialize in creating haunted houses especially if killing NPC's in a house would haunt it. I'd be catching toxic fish and collecting poisonous mushrooms to load up in all the meals of the NPC's that resided in a certain building then BAM! haunted house!
I like the idea of player owned homes being haunted.. With those PvP only basements and stuff you could practically have your own dungeon. Just lure NPC's in to your basement from different parts of the world then bump em off in your basement. Then you can have all sorts of crazy necromancy stewing in your cellar. Could open it for players to quest into. =P Put a treasure at the bottom of your home made dungeon for players to find.

On a side note, will we ever get to have friendly ghosts as NPCs to interact with like in the old Ultima series?
