Crystal Sword - the hilt engraved with date and creature/person killed suggestion

    From the R25 release instructions:

    Crystal Sword: This incredibly rare and powerful weapon will kill almost any foe in a single blow. However the crystal blade shatters on impact leaving the owner with merely a hilt. This sword is only available for Founder era or older backers who have at least a Founder level pledge (Founder Founders!).    ​

    I suggest:
    1. The Crystal Sword Deco - so I can show it on my wall in my house, rather than always keeping it in my bank or backpack that no one can see.
    2. Use the Sword, breaking it, and turns into a Hilt - When I use it to kill something (a monster or an avatar in PVP), it be engraved with: Britannian date of the kill, and what/who was killed.
    3. The Hilt can also be made into a deco trophy and put on my housing wall, showing kill date, and what/who. Perhaps allow 'crafting' to put the hilt on plaque.

    That's no intended for long term. It's supposed to go away forever. It HAS TO go away forever. Otherwise I'm using a crystal sword on everything for my entire life and I'm not training ever in anything but repairing swords. :)

    @Winfield I like your ideas a lot in the OP. I've heard these things suggested many times and I hope we can do that with all items not just the crystal sword, eventually.

    Another suggestion I've offered the devs privately is to produce a book that keeps track of every kill (name, date, and time) made with a crystal sword. This would then be updated overtime and every kill would be recorded for all to see throughout the history of the game. The number of swords remaining in circulation could be tracked here as well. ;)

    Why? Just because it's cool.

    I was wrong. I just tried it and the sword is removed from your inventory and replaced with a copper hilt.

    Well considering there's a wipe next month, I can't save it too long. And I have two anyway since I'm Royal founder ;).

    Since they are truly single use, it would be nice if they could be used as decoration. In fact, it would be nice if all the pledge gear could be used as decoration.

    I remember trying one of them on that Troll who caught me so off guard with his Boulder of doom.

    This was before I knew they didn't work yet... I was like "why aren't you dying?!?"

    Oh yes... My revenge will be sweet.
