Any help would be appreciated. I was unfortunately sick a lot of last year and could not play the game. I am getting back into and excited for how much has changed. I started on the original kickstarter program back in 2014. As I get in now and play I feel a bit lost as so much has changed. So if some one could point me to a link on housing to get my up to speed. every town I walk into says it has no free spaces.

My pledge level is Knight Marshal. When I went to the bank I seem to have benefactor and founder and citizen level housing deeds as well as a bunch of others.

    Thanks

We are getting a lot of houses, but just one lot (except special cases). As Knight Marshal you should have a tax free 'town deed'. You can use it on town lots, of course, but also on village lots and row lots. They are smaller but maybe you can find some free. Later on, maybe next release, you may be able to place your town deed on a new town (they are adding some) and abandon old plot, or but a normal deed to keep using it.

We can on a max of 3 lots, they are useful if set far away from each other to 'zone' to them.

You should check the Player Instructions. In game you find them by clicking the top right (?).

    The short rundown.
In your bank rewards look for the Deed.
With that deed you can claim an unclaimed plot of land.
After that is claimed you can use your Home papers to change the house in that land.
You can even bring out your bank reward Hatch + Basement to enlarge your house.

Since you are a founder and high tier you are getting about ten houses. But only one deed.

Hi laksa nice to meet you. Just as an idea you could also try sotamap.com which is an awesome map containing all the npc and prt towns that are in the game for episode 1.Theres probably one you have missed somewhere. There's also a lot of player owned towns on there you could place your lot in them if the owner is ok with you doing so. Have fun.

Thats a great idea. How do I ask some one in a player owned town if I can put a house there. Do I need to give them anything for it?

It depends. Many POTs owners are OK with people staying in their lands for free, until the last wipe. Maybe some will be free later on, just cannot say.

Or you can join a guild with housing. E.g. I am on the Britannian Mining Company (BMC) and we have a town, free for members, near Etceter. The POT has a lot of NPC vendors, bank, etc, so it´s a good pick even if you can settle on other cities.

Finally, you can buy a POT yourself! j/k

Breaker's Landing, in the middle of Novia, immediately southwest of Brittany, has plenty of space if you wanted to set up there. I can put the lot wherever you'd like on the map.

Just send a PM if interested.

It doesn't seem like that works 100% it showed a free city lot when I went to the town there was nothing free.

Wizards Rest is next to Owlshead and there is no fee to live there. We just add you as resident to the town and then you can place wherever you want. We don't ever charge taxes or any cost to live in Wizards Rest and if it is a tax free deed you are using then you are all set. I am majoria in game or contact Lord Baldrith as well and you would be very welcome to the town.;)

So I found a town with a bunch of village lots. However it wont let me take it. I can see the deed you mentioned in my bank. but I can not put it in my inventory. When I try to claim the lot it says I have no deeds?
    Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have the lot deed on a local bank somewhere. You will need to go to that town to retrieve it.

Each bank branch can store items locally. Maybe you have your lot deed on another town?

What Krohon said. Next time you speak to a banker, to the right will list where the deed is located. If it says "reward" you can take it out of any bank. Otherwise, you need to go to the town mentioned.

Do not depend on info from the Town Crier about available lots. Many time the data is woefully incorrect. Many of the towns that say no lots available may be half empty.
