When you don't live next door to a grocery store, how do you get food to eat?

You go shopping, buy enough for a few days, then take it home. This is how it works for me now in Kingsport, which apparently has no crafting supplies vendors. I go to Owl's Head and buy 100-300 each of whatever it is I'm running out of. (And yes, this even works when you're living out of the bank like I did in R20-R22.)

I really wish they would rename the Player Run Towns since it's a confusing misnomer. NPC Town as well.
    It should really be
    NPC Lot Towns
    and
    NPC Story Towns
    Vs
    Player Owned Towns
so that there can be no misunderstandings.
Back when Kingsport was really popular then it was a real profit to run back and forth to Ardoris and selling such stuff on the Public Vendor in Kingsport.

Yep, people are lazy AND stupid. It's not like that's even a long way to go (Owl's Head or Ardoris), and (currently at least) there aren't even encounters to worry about to Owl's Head.

I fully support anyone making profit off of that level of laziness.

Now, yes, that's more accurate, I completely agree.
Until that pivotal moment DarkStarr confirmed NPC's would be in PRT's, I think the prior distinction was accurate and helpful. Now, it should be adjusted.

Strictly speaking there are NPCs in all three. I'd be happy with
    Story Towns
    Game Towns
    Player Towns

A story town has story-related quests.
A game town is owned by the game.
A player town is owned by a player.

so just like I said not really convenient. So I live in Las Vegas there are a few areas in town where the grocery stores closed down and none would take their place, this made life much more difficult for the residents of those areas, and was headline news for a while. These areas are called ghettoes.

Ooooh that was cruel. It is neither laziness nor stupidity that leads people to pay jacked-up prices at a public or player vendor. It is either
    1. newbie ignorance of where to get things at a better price or
    2. a calculated decision weighing gold vs time needed to get a better price.

After adventuring in the Hidden Vale I've often felt very stupid running to the blacksmith in Owl's Head who is at the far end of town just to get the best price. I hate Owl's Head!

Sometimes it is lazines, however.. I've been known for it from time to time. Cannot discount it.

The number of times I saw people selling vendor items in WoW on the AH or in Trade to people (especially during the holiday events) was amazing. The hawkers usually were annoyed when people pointed out they could get the items for a fraction of the costs. That also goes back to as the game gets more going, some player/NPC guides will be helpful for newer players for the basics.

I am so glad that I didn't join this game to make a lot of money of gain any notoriety for being great at something. I will never have to worry about my lot not being in a spot where I can sell things, etc.

My home will never be to sell anything. If I want to sell things, I will travel like a traveling salesman. Then I get to meet more awesome people as well. However, I think POTS will ban me so I won't try to sell there. A home is not supposed to be a business. Improvise and find a work-around.

You would not be banned from Falling Waters Fortress for bringing goods to sell and activity to our town.

why do you think pots will ban you? those reasons you stated, are they your beliefs, or are they what you presume pot owners beliefs will be?

mine wont ban you from trying to sell.

Why would POT owners ban you? Are you planning to constantly grief their residents and disturb POT events with unseemly language and disruptive positioning of your avatar? o_O

EDIT: In afterthought, I think I should make it clear that I don't believe you plan to do any of those things :)
