What is Accomplishment to you in SOTA?

You have a long list of things but have not yet boiled it down to the essence of the question. Please be more specific.

 

Seems to me that each one of those items in the list is an accomplishment, and the list answers the question: "What is accomplishment to you in SotA?"

 

There is nothing to lose here, so you cannot win anything... Newbiefication.

 

To have the highest level character with the most skills, the best gear, the most money, the biggest house, and the cutest outfits.

 

I'd ask that you make it a very large circle. Large enough for others to enter it.

You'd probably be better served by going to one of the very large threads on the issue....

Oh, and don't get me wrong.... I have been somewhat vocal on the issue myself, but there's not much point beginning another thread on it at this point. @Berek has already locked one thread on the subject and referred the OP to a thread that has been kept open to collect feedback.

Yes, but what if?

 

Being able to spend a good night with friends while having the illusion to be somewhere else then my PC room completly.

I hoped for it, havent found it in SotA. The zoning takes to long and happens to often. The way experience is handled, that a high character gets to empty a zone while the younger ones stand back and leech the full amount of XP. The fact that enemies stand around without sense and spawn on a given timer like other mmos that were released in the 90th. The way that "your real invested cash" gets to say who you are and what you get, that certain items (even if only vanity) cant be aquired through simple play.

And lastly...the little fact that capes look on my character like they did in Dark Age of Camelot...that was around 1998...is making me nuts. <- but that was before last patch, maybe something has chaned. I simply cant motivate myself to log in and check on it.

But the community is awesome...wouldnt change anything about that.

 

Being able to stay at my desk long enough to figure that out.

For me, I ask myself at the end of a play session, "Did I have fun?".
Mostly the answer is "yes", and sometimes "no". A "yes" means a win for me.

To have had a fun session I have either :

• Created something new
• Advanced
• Learnt
• Discovered
• Socially interacted positively

This is not just for Shroud, but for every game.

The "No Win" / not fun situation has rarely occurred for me but it has been :

• Game bugs
• Technical computer bugs/ISP problems
• Spammers
• Socially interacted negatively
• Being ripped off (note that this is sometimes a part of roleplay, and may become a positive, but for that gameplay session it is f'annoying)
• My Australian timezone missing out upon events.

So @Favonius Cornelius, I win when I have had fun, and will be a bigger winner when we have persistence

 

Accomplishment:

- complete the three main story lines
- have the Oracle shine down her favor on me.
- complete dungeons
- grandmaster skills ... If only I could pick which ones
- be able to run the underworld gauntlet at will
- craft a thing or two well
- enjoy a well decorated home with friends
- become part of the community for the long haul
- help others have fun

 

Current agenda: getting my $$ worth.
Future agenda: Having some sense of being both Unique & instrumental part of the world.
Closing agenda: I want to leave a foot Print that I was here.

I wish to exist where none do exist.
To scale the tallest mountain and jump into oblivion.
To swim in a pixel ocean and watch the sunset.
To go boldly into game play without an agenda.

 

I already did, and the game hasn't launched. I helped create a community in my town. Now I log on to see something alive and working.

I couldn't ask for more.

Every time I have logged into Multi-player and see someone at my house using the stations, I feel like I've done something great. Made a place the community finds useful.

Everything else is just icing on the cake for me really.
