Free Raffle Tickets for Release 34 Raffle

I'm sure we can evaluate the potential within a degree of 100s

 

In general, it would be nice the NPC to have a running count of the tickets sold.

 

Easy... because I made my pledge a long time ago. ;-)

 

I think a 10,000 or 15,000 gold credit would satisfy most players.

10,000 gold(or whatever they cost) is hard to come by. BTW if you need gold to make up for your lost raffle money, I'm making loans. PM me.

 

It screws the people who weren't expecting a flood of free tickets in the raffle they paid actually gold to get into.

The idea is great, but it shouldn't have been implemented until the next raffle due to the change in rules.

 

I sense a tremor in the force. It's as if a login server just screamed out in anticipation of a 1000's of alternate accounts signing in for the first time.

 

I had not purchased any lottery deeds, but if I did I would have been providing any winning deeds to my guildmates or friends in need.

 

Like @Couldin, I am not against the idea, but having it announced while the raffle was unveiled would have made a difference in the appearance of rules application to the event.

I have so many accounts to provide a village lot for a crafting Pavalion in each of my towns...then I thought shoot I have all these accounts with multiple episodes and I probably ought to keep the option to play a few...so I made several $45 accounts to hold named characters for each town swapping the character, forum names, and e-mail address around.

I spent all my gold on the place anywhere lottery thinking there would be less people playing that one due to the lower number of lots.

Guess that was a colossal mistake.....

Do we know yet if any funds will be refunded to people who paid the bugged amount? When I bought mine (which took almost all my gold) I didn't realize that 10k wasn't the correct amount for the Place Anywhere Raffle ticket. I have tried searches but I have had no luck.

 

That really made me laugh.

So, this would be a great time to introduce bank notes. You could use them as a way to transfer gold to paper notes that could be traded. Or to reverse purchases for services (like the raffle) that hasn't been performed yet. The beauty of this is that it's another gold sink as there would be a fee for creating bank notes. Just wanted to throw this in here so the post was more productive.

 

So, basically work on some sort of derivative system?

Edit: You'd have to be crazy to try and do any kind of banking type things in this game. Anything could change overnight. The economy is too unstable. Like the resource nodes for instance....

I've never heard another number other than 10k. The devs must be planning on refunding all the tickets anyway and are just watching people have baby fits. Maybe they took a pool to guess which poster would have the biggest fit.

 

I thought 10k was until that post I quoted @Elfenwahn where they said 5k/2.5k. I'm glad to know that I didn't overpay if it was in fact supposed to be 10k!

 

I have no idea what it was supposed to be. I only know I paid 10k.

 

He was joking that he'd buy them off people who wanted their gold back...for half the price we paid. They're 5k/10k a piece.
