In game gambling game !

Would be great if there was some kind of gambling game add to the game .

And i'm not speaking about loterry or raffle

More about dice game or card game.

In many mmo i have played there was external site where you can play poker with your in game money. And some gambling site are really popular in other mmo iwantisk , evebet etc..

I think many player would have fun if some game like that could be add to the game. We don't even need the '' gambling side '' to be handle by the game mechanic just a few game that could be use by player to create in game casino.

I remember to have a play a private uo shard where there was a poker table and it was one of the most funny thing i have done in my uo life

Im not asking for poker , but maybe some kind of runic dice or card game with table ?

 

I would love dice! A deck of cards would be great, especially if later down the road we could find a way to play games with them. Or that spinning wheel that Port spins at telethons! These items need some sort of in-game features of course, not just be placeable decos or emotes.

 

Ya gambling in games is completely fun! Plus another way to waste your money

 

there is - go buy a raffle ticket that is gambling - and the odds are AWSOME just go by 25 tickets and you get a 95% + chance to win LMAO

 

I think other games have had legal issues with this when there is a pathway of exchange between in-game currency and real world currency. Not saying I wouldn't like it.

lol well I don't think we are talking about real life cash, just in game cash. We do have games though, and players can also create games. Sandillox Entertainment Guild did Bingo and Name That Tune. I did most of the Bingo cards myself in game well with some help, on the blank notes and we have chess, checkers, and gust ball so far. Great ideas guys.

 

I would love to see some gambling outlets in the game...especially chicken fighting That is some awesomeness.

 

even still there are some weird laws about gambling in certain states. I know its prevented other online games from putting in a "form" of gambling, in which a person can get money.

and /random would be nice, that puts a random 0-999 in local chat.
could be used to determine who gets a loot drop ext. and not be concidered a gambling mechanic, though it could be ussed that way

 

Yes I looked it up and I can see some issues could happen with in game gambling reaching to out of game experiences by players betting in RL. I never thought of this point. Thanks for the info Leostorm. So now I can understand developers being cautious of adding gambling to a game. SEG, our guild, has not done any type of gambling game event.

 

not so much an issue with community stuff, i mean you could have a guessing game of how many skulls are in a chest and take bets.
its just the parent company streamlining it, i think one of the major things is, that it could be looked at as a draw in for the game cuz people can make money irl.
in game gold in mmos can basicly be classified as a form of "bitcoin" which can be transfered into real money.
i dont find it a coincidence that a chinese man came up with bitcoin, its like real life mmo gold lol.

 

In Japan they have pachinko, which you buy tokens to play and can exchange tickets that you win for a variety of non-cash prizes. One of the non-cash prizes is a rather dull looking plaque, but the trick with the plaque is that a stall down the street will buy those plaques for cash. Japan allows this because they aren't eager to take on the yakuza running the operations but the US takes a rather dim value of similar operations.

 

While I support the concept, to me this would be a post-launch enhancement, not base functionality.

 

I would agree if Portalarium was the dealer/gold sink. The dealer must be the "casino" in this or it would be open to many exploits/corruption/people getting pissed.
