The One Thing I Like Best about SoTA

Negativity can be contagious, both here on the forums and in real life - but so can a positive environment. I think that we have a strong compassionate membership in SotA. Post here the ONE thing you like (don't get wordy and list lots of things). DO NOT add a "but" statement, eg., "I like this but...". Simple... here is mine:

What I like best about SotA is the sandbox play - in the map, in the avatar builds, in the gear, and in the crafting.

Follow the simplicity of this example when adding your comment please. This should be fun!!

PS: Note that Dr Wiz in SotA is bringing together compassionate players within a Discord community, and in the NPC town of Grumridge (there is no guild - thus encouraging all kind hearted players to unite).

 

I like SoTA because I can just be myself in-game and out.

The One thing i like in SotA is...

Die Handvoll Menschen die mich, seit ich in SotA bin und die ich durch SotA kennen gelernt habe, auch in anderen Spielen begleiten und wir sehr viel Spaß zusammen haben.

 

I like that there are a big Team of Developers creating a World with a history, a place to be living and participate.

I like that this Game has been created with collaboration of the Community.

I like the nice memories that are out there that all share who went on the ride.

I loved to wander around in beautiful created zones.

Alot of Freedom on Housing.

 

One thing I like about SotA is...

That the possibilities are very great.

 

The thing I like about SOTA: The possibilities are endless and we can take all the positive things about ALL MMOs of the past and bring them here for one huge orgy of awesome.

 

Community !! Here is the Best thing in SOTA
I've played a lot of Online game, like probably, almost all of you, but the Community here, is the best i'v seen for a long time.

The Game itself, going to be more, and more stable and enjoyable until the final release..

The graphics & the environment are one of my favourites aspects of the game

 

The sense of scale. While exploring my first zone it reminded me of my early UO days in that I felt like I was lost in the woods. It's not as if the zone was big and empty, but that it seemed natural. The wilderness graphics are presented well in this game.

The Overworld Map sounded like an awesome concept because it allows the world to seem much larger than if all zones were connected like in WoW. True, there aren't those who like the overworld map, but I'd rather the world have hundreds of miles of "hidden" wilderness than to have the world seem small with connected zones. The Overworld Map also allows the devs to easily add more zones without impacting the others.

I believe the players of this game, at least before the full release, most likely played UO or other old sandbox MMO's. It's a level of maturity I'd seen too lacking in WoW RP situations.

A unique RP aspect of this game is that you can be an 'avatar', which is essentially 'you' inside the game. The game tells you this the moment you first log a character, so it allows for a more personal character and not much forethought.

That said, are 'humans from RL' the only things pulled through to be an 'avatar' or would it be viable to say any 'fictional' character could also have been pulled to this world?

 

It's full of unreleased potential.

 

I like the level art.

 

I like to see a creative thought become a reality. Through positive and negative views, a world has been created in which one can create as an individual or as a community .

 

I mostly like the housing, combat, crafting and graphics.

Besides almost everything everyone said before me:..
I like that I have met wonderful people from halfway around the world and they are as involved in this "thing" we are all doing just as much as I am---actually more so ! The commitment, friendliness and good will is something I have never seen before in the 20+ years since I was on the Catskills Shard of UO!

 

The one thing I like the best about SotA...?

SotA itself.

 

I like it because there is no one special thing i like it for, but many things that keep me immersed.

 

The one thing I like the most?
That there is not only one “right” way to do something.
