The R1 Decorating Challenge

There are chests scattered about the town. If you walk along the stone wall (on top) there should be 4 of them, also in the NPC houses usually on the 2nd or 3rd floor, and some behind rocks

 

Here is my Lord's Home.

When you approach it you see the nice decorations like a fountain, wood pile, and <gasp>

The tombs of great fallen warriors or those who irked Lord Greagoir off!


Upon entering you see the entertainment station with a nice seating area including Lord Greagoir's Throne. In other words, if you irk Lord Greagoir off you will become a permanent resident in the graveyard outside.


On the other side of Lord Greagoir's study area where his day to day work is performed.


Upstairs is Lord Greagoir's work area full with newt's eyes, fire salamander's tails, plus bat snot to make potions.


The bedroom area.


Complete with ye olde style of lavatory.

And upstairs is the chapel, where Lord Greagoir gives thanks for all of his good tidings. His closest friends come here weekly to also give thanks.

 

The practical side of decorating. I want to illustrate that one does not require a large house to decorate it with functional items.

Two crafting stations in the backyard of a small house. There is ample room for two, but you could probably fit three behind the back wall of the house.


Two chests for storing raw materials to be used for the crafting stations.

 

Shelf with jars.



Dinner table



....and a roof. This is as much as I had time to do after balancing work, time with girlfriend, and all that. =(

 

Small bedroom in Founders Village Castle. Simple yet eloquent.

 

You can also place your items in any house you see already up; technically you're classed as owning them all (and possibly will in Single Player Offline too when it goes live)

just a quick job due to many crashes in-game, part of a functional rooftop:
Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner Nook open air table near trees for ambiance and a wonderful view overlooking the mountains and



Turning around reveals the dual crafting station parapets with another inspirational view of the mountains, river and the land



And to round it off, my contemplation corner, overlooking more snow covered peaks and the city of Owl's Head.

 

For all the doubters: Here is the latest windmill setup. Maxed items, 1 more will crash game.

EGAD @smack! How did you not crash out?! I crashed out just trying to pickup enough stuff to do that!

 

@Umbrae - Trust me, I crashed A LOT. Being a hoarder is hard work

 

I couldn't add any more to my house because it crashes...so here is the best area I was able to finish...

 

Lots of great interior design! My life as an in-game hoarder aside, I can't even decorate my own real life home

 

Same here. I suck at decorating my house, but I don't think I am too bad at decorating a virtual one... My how things are backwards like that.
