2 servers 2 choices

Should there be two different servers for pvpers and pvers?

  1. No. we should all play the same way.

  2. Yes. I understand people like to play differently and they should be able to do so with like minded

    cast your vote two servers for two play styles, or one server for a half satisfied community.

    Let me clarify....

    PVP server = full loot, full open world pvp. fellucca style pvp

    PVE server = what ever you want it to be.

    in effect the way sota operates is you will have a filter, and you will not see anyone that does not play like you. So you have your separate server, but you have the persistent world with vendors and such.

    Um, the correct question should be: No we are all in one space filtered by pvp and pve...The choice is still there.

    Will those who participate in concensual PVP be allowed to loot all of the items off of a vanquished foe?

    hopefully yes. there will be full loot, according to @Chris sometime in the future, but it will not be before launch. it will be an add on.

    Possibly. They've said there may be full loot scenes, or a slider for people.

    The poll didn't specify full loot. It just said playing PvE vs PvP.

    Splitting UO into two servers is something that people complain about non-stop because no one ended up playing on the full loot, PvP anyone-anytime servers. Why repeat that mistake?

    Why undermine many of the best aspects of SotA where online data persists for all users on a single server.

    This has been discussed ad naseum for two years.

    the slider lets you go from single player online, to friends player online to Multiplayer online.

    If PvP stands for People value Pancakes, then yes we should have as many servers as possible.

    I think we should all work together on same server. With that being said we shouldn't be forced to travel through pvp zones, instances or wherever else just to enjoy content. I think resources in pvp or a vanity item could be rewarding but not something you're forced to obtain. Make these resources even purchasable and let the economy set the prices of these items depending on how many choose to pvp. Bottom line pvp areas should be optional an not 100% necessary.

    Having optional PvP is pretty much the same thing as having two servers and honestly, if PvP is full loot, they would have to make equipment almost worthless, because when someone looses all their gear they will just end up complaining about how much time they invested in order to get all these great items only to have their boots pulled from their cold dead Avatar. If you remember in UO and I hate to reference it, but who in their right mind would take anything more then a set of cheap leather armor with them into Buccaneers Den. How rewarding is it as PvPers to receive the cheapest available armor/weapons? I would wager people would be much more happy receiving some other type of commendation they could use to purchase better gear for mugging us "Trammies" for making the mistake of visiting the Rats Nest.

    PvP full loot (if implemented) will only be in certain zones, and you will be warned before entering. :)

    No I'm referring to a PvP slider. It has been discussed on hangouts as a possibility, not a promised feature.

    The slider would let people set their own risk factor of loot.

    Which is completely awesome, as I also enjoyed the risk of vrs reward aspect of PvP. It is just something we will have to wait and see implemented, they will just have to find a way to make the risk of loosing everything worth the reward.

    I personally will not be taking a step into places like Chaos Cross Roads or the Rats Nest with anything worth while on me if full loot is enabled. I think PvP is a lot of fun, but I suck at it.
