Mannn, I picked up one of these after the last wipe, got rid of a few things for it...I haven't placed it yet as I haven't found where I'd like to place my town lot, but can't wait to see it.

Does anyone have a video / screens of the interior? That great hearth is gonna look great in the courtyard.

Also, will there be a black stone / darker stone version coming soon? Can I use one of those dye bottles and dye the home black? pleeeease?

Can they consider making it 3/4 stories and using this to replace the 'out of place' lord marshal oriental villa, it's really ugly...i'm sorry but it is. I know this won't happen, wishful thinking, just never liked that home.

You can tour the one setup in Hometown. Hopefully it meets your expectations, I was underwhelmed.

You're likely to be disappointed. Go to Hometown, south of Soltown, and look at it.

I forgot about that!!! Thanks for reminding me...so you both seem disappointed by it...I may be also, I would venture a guess that the rooms are pretty small?

What did you guys not like about it?

The walls are a bit too thin. The rooms are small. They are more like walk paths. There is no room that is good enough to be your bed room.

Maybe it just wasn't designed to be used as a personal house.

If they were to put a 2 story rectangle rooms with roof-top in the middle area, I think that would make a huge difference.

There are many problems with it. It appears to be a very amateurish effort.
Go look and judge for yourself.

I didn't feel that way at all. I thought it cool. Like many of the houses when they're first put out, there's a need for some polish. But I liked it for what it was, a medieval keep with a courtyard. Add some walls around that in a POT and it would be a cool area to live, imo.

I actually think it looks fine if you want the keep look and have room in the middle for gardening.

I hadn't thought of that! (now a request for a Dark version makes me all the more interested)

I'm still waiting to see if someone could do some deco work to make the purchase decision more appealing. From the look of it in home town, I find it difficult to place a bed in any room and still make yourself look like a keep owner. Right now you could place a sleep bag and role play as the keep keeper, I guess.

Yeah, I have to weigh in on the disappointed side. I am not sure what I was expecting, but the endless-loop hallway does not allow for much room building and setting up in the courtyard won't be fun when it's raining out and all your furniture gets wet. :(

I didn't know that dry-rot and fungus were problems in SotA.

    That made me laugh.

But in all fairness, looking long term. Having furniture outside in the bad weather may eventually (episodes from now) be different than it is now. Things change all the time, for example the green house now offers a bonus to agriculture if the plants are inside the greenhouse. So this is not even close to happening now, but it's possible.

Bed's and a reason to use them have also been discussed recently by the devs in a hangout as something that they would eventually get to. So funny comments for sure, but some day in the future there may be some weight to these decisions. :)

I just picture myself sitting at the table trying to eat my lamb stew while water drips off my nose and the raindrops dilute my mead. My guy will not be happy.

Put the hot air balloon over head and no more rain woes directly underneath.

The hot air balloon ($100). But you are right the airship would give you more coverage.

The hot air balloon would look great in the center of that keep.
