I think its the marshes / swamps

 

I think that is a basic version, and even is not well rendered, but it looks like the starting island.

I think its beautiful and very magical and mystical feeling with the color pallet at this point.
We are most likely getting more of a preview in R6, except don't lawyer them bro or bro-ette of course. lol

 

The new map looks completely Amazing!

I like the look of the new 3d map. The current in-game map with the psuedo-3d icons and textured background was functional but I thought would have been better represented with a parchment look.

The map they have now looks like a topographical map, that though it may be stunning my hopes is that it won't be difficult to navigate. That is, the camera has to be in a good location as the terrain is now
presented differently.

I enjoyed the Truth, Love, and Courage video and some discussion of the story and places on the map especially the gem mine makes me eager to explore.

Did anyone think that the continent itself looked quite small or is that simply a matter of scale?

I think that may be only an island...as for camera angle it shouldn't matter as you should be able to panand rotate.

 

I can already picture my Avatar travelling through the land like a giant... hehehe

 

With the 3d map in the video clearly taking shape (and looking nice I may add even before textures and other items are added to it), I don't really understand what this one hour map thing is about next week. Is it just some sort of joke filler to put into the release while we wait for the proper map?
