41 repair kits for repairs?

    41 repair kits for repairs, crafted or purchased, is ridiculous!

    We will spend the majority of our game time chasing gold to create repair kits.

    Didn't they adjust them with today's up or was that just with repairs on the best stuff.

    I'm all cloth except for Chain mail chest. Took all the repair kits I had. Sheesh.

    They adjusted them so items made with more exclusive material cause you to use MORE repair kits, totally backward from what we all expected LoL

    Nothing about the repair kit changes addressed the major problem we are having with them - Even with the kits repairing more on CHEAPER items, it STILL costs more to purchase and use repair kits than it does to buy new vendor-bought items. Now it's actually less of a time waster to harvest ore to build myself a new bronze-hilt-meteoric-iron-blade shortsword and sell my old busted one than it is to repair my sword. Each kit repairs it for 5, when it used to do 10. That means if I want to go from broken to fixed it's going to cost me 2,000 gold. Meaning for a while, I just won't be using my good crafted weapon outside of PVP because it's not economical whatsoever to repair the thing.

    I would like to see the durability formula adjusted, so things don't wear out quite as fast...

    Actually I can more easily repair my wooden shield:D

    Still, repair kits are the last resort field repair thing. We should be able to repair things as crafters and it should be much cheaper, but it is not in the game yet.

    Which is why I have been advocating an increase in durability gain from kits until such a time that Repair skill is implemented in the Crafting trees.

    NAh I like the way it is as it tiers items, I would prefer to go at it from the opposite end (items should wear out at much slower pace).

    I think this will be ok as soon as crafted items have a chance to be all from really bad to super especially brilliant. Then there will be items which are good/expensive enough to pay the current price for repairs. Not so good crafted items will just get used and throw away after. At least, this is how i have seen it in another (Albion Online Alpha) game. It´s even more extreme there, full repairs cost more than crafting alone without any items.

    Hoping to get the real system in place next release where crafters can repair items in a much faster and cheaper way. Repair kits were really only intended for emergencies.

    I can sell ore for 50gp so that makes made repair kits cost 400gp per without adding the 2 leather. Those 41 kits would cost 16,400 if you crafted your own. Well 12,300 cause you save the cost of repair kits. You would be better off selling ore and buying NPC kits for 4,100. Mine 100 ore. Make $5000. Buy 41 kits and you still have an extra 900 for reagents.

    This issue needs work. Also, how does leather and iron fix a cloth shirt. I assume other repair kit types will be coming out. I don't want to see what the human looks like under 0 durability robes. That must have been a thrashing.

    The cost to repair reward items and expensive itens just got INSANE! I'm using Royal Founder Cloth Set, and it repairs only 5 PER kit. C'mon, I can spend 1000gp per piece for a mere cloth armor. Also my mace has a base value of 1200 gp, and also repairs 5 per kit, which makes it impossible to use, because there are few monsters in game that would reward me 100+ gold per 5 durability. Please give us an work around, or just make repair kits overpower for now, because I can't use any good/reward item anymore.

    I have points spent in tactics to reduce the durability cost for weapons/armor but I don't see it making much difference. Maybe I wasted my points, lol.
