50% load hang - anyone else?

So... I just got the FORCED win1o update... after 49 minutes, now I can't get sota to load after 50%. Just unresponsive and no load.

Anyone else?

I logged on before the winupdate - and dloaded the SOTA update, and no issues. Spent some quality time dancing at entrances...
today, after the winupdate I put off for so long... hang after 50%

Now, I'm used to a good 50% load pause... but this never gets any further...

specs in signature - I am running the system most people run according to steam.

did you try ro run sota in win7 compatibility mode?
someone posted that that did help for win10 sometimes ago....

 

imma try that- Ill laugh my ass off if it works. Next ill have to be running this in a vmware emulator 0.o

I figured it out. This was the infamous fall creator update I had been putting off until it FORCED the update and it removed my nvidia card from the system o.0

Even said 'there's no nvidia card attached to this display' which is a giggler - one hdmi cable from the nvidia card to the monitor is all I have. How else would I be reading it?

anyway, works now. I AM a bit disappointed the launcher didnt recognize the 'where's the gfx card' hang/loop and say nothing.
