Well, if the main drive is accumulation of wealth over time, gathering wood and farming is the absolute best investment in cost savings and long term profit in the game IMO.

Especially wood, which should be priced at around 15-25 gold per, somehow got inflated to 120-140 gold per and people are paying it.

Mining Silver is probably second best, as it saves you money and also contributes to producer xp, but far less potential adventure xp as a part of the process as wood cutting though.

But, by the way, those fishing sales are just what I had in my backpack from this past month.

I agree FBohler, I'm just hoping they change that. I would love to see fishing get a boost from the Treasure Maps/Message in a Bottle mechanic. I'm not saying make it the most lucrative activity....but make it decent...

There are still quite a few decent ways to make money that folks have mentioned and there are probably more ways we simply havent though of...Of course it is always good to have more ways to make good cash. That variety drives the economy...

Hey Anpu, only for the heads up, I checked Theo against Pip, and their price is identical for looted gear. Am I missing something?

You are. I was just checking. What isn't he giving you full price for...?

Find that and report back to us :)

Both of them are paying full price for every piece of looted gear.
Edit: every piece of gear I had on me.

I will assume then you didn’t have any cloth or leather armor to sell to him?

Just keep working at it. It takes time and effort - Pay attention to your character and upgrade when you can!

    Time, time, time..

    Its a slow burn.

Slightly off topic, I NEVER sell rusty armor and weapons - I always salvage it. The metal scraps make copper and iron ore last longer. JME.

the optimization point is somewhere in the middle, at least online. there are a few weapon types that have pretty good returns for gold farming and of course the durability they drop at affects their sale price too

I have so much scraps laying around that I simply sell all the junk I get. I make about 10k gold per hour only from lousy gear sold to NPCs.

Out of curiosity where are you getting into so many fights that you can amass that much junk in an hour???

I like to grind the maze at Tartarus, that's where I can make 10k an hour selling junk gear to Pip at Desolis.
I'm pretty sure that's not the most profitable dungeon, I hear that player dungeon troll rooms give a lot of gold.

I'm nowhere near ready for Tartarus. So far the best places I've found are the NW corner of Twins Foothills, Spectral Mines, Crag Foothills and Deep Ravenswood. Forest Siege isn't bad either.

I explored Resolute Sewers and never found the spiders - am I just blind?

You can even do more than that. Check out Ruined Keep, kill satyrns and sell the weapons to one of the blacksmither npcs (Desolis or in Owls Head for example). If you can't solo Ruined Keep, try Twins Foothills or Crag Foothills.

I haven't been to ruined keep yet, but according to the map it's only a tier 3 area - is it actually tougher than that?
