Advertising

After some great gains on steam, I noticed we kind of lost our momentum. I was wondering if the ad campaign has launched or if it will soon.

I remember reading there was an unexpected delay. Let's keep the population trending up!

Anyone know this information?

Maybe first squash some more bugs, overhaul a few skill trees (I just ditched specialisation Moon magic because specialisation in Moon magic does not pay investing one of two possible specialisations in it..)

Fix the questing systhem...

Then advertise again big time ...

The ongoing "radio silence" in terms of advertising is certainly a tad perplexing.

 

Take a look at the daily standup notes & Q2 Schedule, hardly radio silence.

 

I see ads all the time on Facebook. I don't visit many of the other sites they might advertise on, but at least *some* ads are running.

 

Ok I just must not get them on Facebook. Glad they got something going.

 

You know how Facebook works, right? If you clicked on a link or liked a page, it's always going to send you ads about the product. So you might be getting SOTA ads, but that doesn't mean the general public is. The company I work for pays for the same type of advertising.

Just to save Portalarium money and get ads to people who aren't already playing, you might click "Hide Ad" and an appropriate reason.

 

The red downturn is a symptom of the beginning of the month happening on a Tuesday. Watch as we hit the weekend, that will turn back into the green.

P.S. A great way to keep that momentum going is to keep your vendor stocked I'm getting great sales in Brittany Alleys now, and your corner is such a fantastic spot I often think about making you an offer on it. There are enough vendors sitting right now that it's basically easy gold, because if your vendor is standing then you have very little competition.

Use an image hosting service like imgur.com and paste the URL with the image button. ^

 

I personally would like them know hold off on an ad campaign until they at least fix the questing system.

Exactly and "shock horror" not everyone in the world uses Facebook. Think they need to do a bit more than that....

 

Yeah, aside from some Facebook adverts - the kind that anyone from one-man podcasts and up make use of - I haven't seen, well, anything of note that could be called advertising. How many weeks past launch now?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the whole SeedInvest thing meant to gather money for advertising the game?

 

Simone mentioned this to me a month or so ago. I just use discord and post the picture in my guild chat, then just copy the link. May not last forever but my pic posts have all been up for a month at least.

 

Yes, Shroud of the Avatar is very "shrouded". A treasure people are obviously expected to hunt for. It must be an exercise in humility, as never has there been such a timid, understated release.


Or are our socks going to be blown off with a full page advert in PC Gamer next month?


Offer Future Publishing a free POT lot deed in exchange for lowering the advertising rates. We need help in filling those vacuous towns a bit faster than relying on a monthly lottery (!)
