Any experience running SotA on Windows 10 system?

Hello, Internet. It's been a while...

I am wondering if anyone here can tell me if there's any notable effects of playing R20/R21 on a PC with Win10 installed on it. Is there a difference? Would steps need to be taken by the SotA team to adjust anything in the game to make it go smoothly with Win10?

Inquiring minds want to know.

 

I have played on Windows 10 from the day Win 10 was released. I haven't experienced any problems at all. If there are any differences from windows 8.1 which I used before and Win 10, they are too minute to be noticeable.

I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and I haven't experienced any problems with SotA or with any other program.

 

Seems R21 may have an issue with Windows 10 this release. And I just upgraded last week.

Ick! Well, I've held off from upgrading a few months already, guess win 8.1 gets to stay a bit longer!

 

I have had no issues with Windows 10 on both my PC and my laptop. The game runs fine. I don't experience repeated crashes, or any.

We do not yet officially support Windows 10. If you have upgraded to Windows 10 you may experience instability. We hope to have official support in the next few releases. Thank you for your patience.

With that said most issues people are having are graphics drivers and are not specifically caused by our game.

 

I upgraded a week or so ago and the game stopped running for me. (R20) Whatever you did with this new release (R21) has solved my problem. Also i use steam for that computer and it was FAST whereas it took hours to download on my other computer. Thanks for fixing it !!!

Hmm...well for graphics I have a radeon HD 7970 - 3gb so seldom have much trouble that way, besides a bit of lag in Ardoris or Hometown in R20, well ok, a lot of lag in Hometown .

Thank you all for the comments, think I will think on it some more.

 

I have run the game on Windows 10. It ran fine, though did seem to force a reboot of my system 3 times in a few hours. I updated the graphics driver and that issue did not occur again. Overall a good experience so far.

 

Like I've said multiple times I've been running Windows 10 since January and the final version since release day without any issues what so ever so if you're having issues it's most likely your video card driver or some other issue not related to Windows 10.
