We havent seen much on this so i figured i would post some vids of the different types of bows and the art of bow making and fletching! Hope this gives the art designers some examples and all of us some knowledge. Enjoy

I played the whole of Skyrim stealth with my trusty bow as my only weapon, Great fun!

 

I'm deeply impressed by Lars Andersen. In almost every game I played an archer and have been to archery training in RL as well. Maybe I should continue.

 

I had a very old maybe 50 year old Yew Bow once when I was a teen. Very difficult to pull but did launch an arrow to very great distances, "until it broke"
~TL~ wish I still had it today

 

i Have a Medieval longbow 65# pull on it and i love it! i actively go out shooting with it, and have gotten pretty good but not as fast as Lars, i could probably shoot an arrow at an apple on someones head but it would be like Geena Davis! So never volunteer if i ask! lol I hope the Devs can look at the 3 bows i put up and the X-bow, there and maybe come up with some of those especially the Horse bow, in game! I really like that bow alot! Glad you all enjoyed this! I would love to have a nice horsemans bow in the game! I may change my game play to an archer and collect all the bows i can!

 

Did I miss it? I didn't see the Mongolian bow. It has a distinct recurve that kind of pops the arrows. Also it is drawn with the thumb, making it a little strange for any of us that have actually shot bows. Nevertheless, it is pretty impressive from horseback. Surely in the 'short bow' category, it is an impressive example of a mounted combat weapon.

Lars is awesome. Great video to share. I hope we see a touch of this in game. As a crafter, it would be awesome to see real differences between long, short, cross bows.

Good story about Chinese bows, I promise in 10 min youll learn something! and youll see them shooting from the opposite side of the bow! So im guessing thats where the archer displayed a while back got that from.

 

Awesome movie about bows and medieval times, it was one i had to go out and buy! Lots of different types of bows and arrows. bolts and crossbows in it!

Archery is awesome. Once the temperature gets warmer here I'll be outside firing shots with my longbow
