    i've exhausted my patience in trying to converse with all parties on this and have moved on. If I find poor
    little jenn dead in the market
    I will be quite upset.

    Nope, still unable to finish the quest. Either Rolf is extremely dumb or... but this thought escapes me.

    Build 501: The problem stills there, i cant make rolf confess.

    I just tried 2 hours after the patch. I never tried the quest before so i didn't try it in any other build.

    By the way, the game is awesome.

    I have a question... what tower? Says there is a tower overlooking that area I don't see anything remotely looking like a tower. If there is one it isn't where I would expect a tower that can be seen would be located.

    Huh.
    makes me question the source of the info, because I wonder how the heck anybody could see that distance, since an arrow can fly from that general direction how did they know? hmmm I suspect the witnesses , and why didn't they report it? no guards seem to respond to questions of regarding the projectile instead they ask "what made you think of race?" Unless that dialog hasn't been added t the guards yet.

    Same here. I'm still stuck at this quest. Simeon doesn't react to the keyword "son" which is highlighted in the conversation. And even with the notice in my inventory I cannot make the guard to confess.

    Hard to tell if it's broken or not.. which is unfortunately the state of most quests in the game.. I sure hope they get past their quest issues before the real quests come into the game. :( Why can't they get them bug-free yet?

    Quest still broken for release 501. Hoping they get it fixed quickly.
    Because it requires us reading their minds and when minor dialogue changes happen it glitches LOTS of things (just ask our player translators how hard it is when there are minor changes they aren't made aware of).

    nearly the same to me.
    I talked to both women, to cugel and to rolf. I found the recall letter and four notes, three of them with names. I stored all papers in my inventory and tried to convince cugel but he never responded. I think there's missing a way to realy give cugel the proofs one can found.

    Sounds good... I will give it another run tonight, too then. Hopefully my characters Quest-data isn't too screwed up allready :)

    I did the black arrow quest as it sounded rather intriguing. But unfortunately, it is a typical SotA-quest. Running around a city, talking to people, reading notes. There is literally NOTHING happening here! There is not even a fight.

    The story of SotA is done by Tracy Hickman, too. So imagine this quest in one of his novels... I would want my money back!
    And some people even defend this quest. Don't you play other games? Other RPGs?

    What is this????

    How will SotA stand a chance against other RPGs when the game offers such quests in which NOTHING happens?

    This really makes me angry as the whole quest system, the whole "story driven RPG with a single player narrative and choices with consequences" is nothing but a farce. Didn't a real quest system for deep, complex and interesting quests have any priority during development? What is going on?

    I mean, how cool could this quest have been?

    Seeing him killing someone in an alley and then he flees. Then we set up a trap for him, lure him into the trap and then he flees again but his time we follow him to his hidehout where we fight him. Then with his dying breath he tells us a secret... Maybe there was a reason why he killed those people... Were they sick and he tried to prevent the sickness from spreading?

    Something like that. This would be interesting and cool! Instead we talk, run, talk, read a note, talk. End.

    100% agreed.. more needs to be done to bring the quests to life.. this is one of the more interesting ones.. but still had no real 'bite'. I hope this changes real soon...

    This is interesting though. not all battles are against flesh and blood. there are plenty of monsters but virtues forsaken is an unseen monster and the weapons of our warfare cannot only be made of wood and steel.
