    Title: redeemed one of my dye rewards and chose black glowing and when I double clicked that it gave me pure black instead of the black glowing.
    Reproduction Rate: once don't want to try again.

    as designed. black glowing and pulsing dyes were removed in r97, patch 1495. there'd been multiple complaints about them supposedly not working, which is understandable as they were ill-conceived. one cannot make black glow and so the associated pulsing version really only cycled between shades of grey. the reward bundles were a straggler for them being taken out of the game entirely. taking them out of the pack entirely was problematic for tech reasons, so they were replaced.

    Ok. I got 12 of them when I created my nightsister alt and that was only a couple months ago. And they still show as glowing. Should they show as just black?

    no, the dyes themselves weren't taken out, just new ways to get more. i don't know if @Ravalox wants to do a migration to change the existing ones, but i doubt it
