At Levels 1 - 10 Failing shold give some exp -

    At tehse low levels even a fail is training at higher levels failing should result in 0 exp but - - - -

    Wrong when training out harvesting should gain no matter what at 1- 10 but you can have your opinion, and sorry it is wrong

    Same as any other skill if oyu swing your sword and take your own foot off at 1 - 10 it is all a learning curve after that you are a Goober :)

    Killing is not the experience, nor is complete success. Swinging the sword, attempting to use the sickle, hoe, or axe, etc. is where the novice learns. I agree wholeheartedly.

    I'm pretty sure I've gotten experience for gathering even when failing to produce a product. I say that because I've gotten the notification just as the failure message appears.

    drrhodes: I think you are right now that I remember. Not sure about the fighting, but gathering does give a little even if you fail. That is excellent.

    Failure is just learning all the ways it won't work. I approve skill gains for failure.

    Technically, a system can be built specifically to reward trying and failing. If you only get skill points for failure, you naturally get fewer skill points as you get better.

    Yes I agree.

    I think it is because the use-base system is still heavily tied into the xp/leveling experience. Move away from that and give us a proper use based skill system please!

    Ill have to agree with some posters above, im pretty sure i have gained from failure during harvesting.
