Basements

The basements are awesome space but not too accessable for renting out unless there could be easy access for a tenant. It would be nice to have the renting option for them though. They could then help for housing for some

 

Personally, I wouldn't want the ability to rent out a basement. I was worried initially about whether or not there would be enough housing space for newcomers, but now that I've spoken with other town owners and heard that they are holding spaces for just such people (just like we are), I am not worried. And we can always do what's been done in UO for years with new folks - "here, this chest is yours..."

I think it's just awesome that the Devs are able to give us extra storage space with basements, and suspect that to go any further with it would be a programmer's nightmare.

The basements are freaking huge!! I saw this thread and had to go look for myself, there's more room in them than I think I can ever use all by my lonesome. I thought that renting out space to someone was not going to ever be an option for me (I'm Royal Artisan so no big home for me) but now I have to rethink what I'm going to do and how to go about it!!

 

Yes I hear you. I wasn't meaning I would rent out my basements but just thought the layout wouldn't work for any who wanted ti. The basements are very awesome ideas. **cheers**
