Camera mode from overland map in scenes

I would love to play in the scenes with the same camera control that we have on the overland map. This would bring back the feeling of the isometric view of the older Ultimas and it would create a consistent style throughout the game.
So maybe it would be possible to let us play with this camera mode, too? Optionally of course. Maybe we could switch the camera modes in the scenes by pressing some key.

 

Especially if the camera mode causes things to "fade out" because you are getting a more bird's eye view of things, and so can't see details with the clarity that a more in-person view would convey.
