Can't use village deed on village lot

I am standing ay an unclaimed village lot with a village housing deed in my inventory, but when I try to claim lot, the deed is not listed.

What am I doing wrong?

 

Make sure it is the "Lot Deed" not the "House Deed". If it was from a pledge, the title will read "Rent Free Lot Deed" or something close to that.

hmmm first thought.. does the sign/stone say For Sale in runic on it? When you double click to claim it it doesn't say "claimed by ___" or anything?

Edit: Or.. yeah more likely as stated.. you're probably using a house deed when you need a lot deed.

 

Trying to get a screen shot... It says the lot is unclaimed and has button to view my deeds.

 

OK what is the difference between a housing deed and a lot deed?

 

A lot deed is specifically for claiming the lot and the house deed is what you can place on the lot once you own it.

 

Yeah what you need specifically is the lot deed. If it's from a pledge it the name will start with 'rent free'.. The lot merchant should be next to the house merchant.

 

Welcome desire yes looking at your screen shot you did not pick up the house also that should be in your bank with all your rewards. Congrats by the way.

I had a bit of trouble claiming my first lot as well. Took me awhile to find my lot deed in the bank.

 

what you actually need to do is highly the deed in your inventory and then click claim this lot, the letters will be greyed out but you will still be able to claim it
