Anyone reading this you know you’ll want to pick NBM for some fishing cuz there’s some sweet sweeteners coming.
Oooooh, a cross-over event, sweet! I hope many start doing this as well as for the PvP events I'm brewing.
So there will be only one weekly winner in the POT category. The largest fish caught. How will you incorporate extra bonuses that attract players with such minimal chance of being the ONE to win? Are you considering a concurrent competition (daily or weekly) that incorporates all the salt water trophy fish? This would be great if you could pull it off.
As many know I work in a community in severe outbreak right now and have kids at home so I chose the wrong time for this. If anyone can give me a list of every fish I'll give out a list of rewards and make sure we have many more winners who will get rewards from my copious stockpiles of rewards.
Realistically I should have done this sooner or picked the event to happen later, I didn't see a date when I signed up.
For a reference numbers from the past month based on in-game leaderboard name of fish - number caught - largest Uncommon Salt Water Fish: Amberjack Mackerel - 1899 - 1.65 Large Amberjack Mackerel - 51 - 1.87 Mahi-Mahi - 2116 - 2.14 Large Mahi-Mahi - 40 - 2.42 Rare Salt Water Fish: Small Bluefin Tuna - 71 - 2.34 Bluefin Tuna - 82 - 2.87 Large Bluefin Tuna - 5 - 3.13 Small Marlin - 19 - 3.15 Marlin - 25 - 3.82 Large Marlin - 0? Wow, that's a lot of fish! Probably too much to handle. How about adding the total of a fisherman's three largest fish caught in your pot vs the other two pots. Each pot owner could contribute to the prize pool and those prizes awarded to the winner. The pot owner who had the winning fisherman would then sweeten the pot with an additional prize.
How does this work for NBM? can you send more catches for the different categories? or is it just the one fish which can be the largest caught at NBM and the largest for that category? or can you send a fish per category? got a bunch to send if it works like that
Best I can glean is this is the largest submission for the POT category. From here till Friday probably best for everyone to spend their time in other categories. There is a chance that POT owners will sweeten the pot to keep interest up, though. I would be happy to contribute to the prize fund if they do...
Every person who submits a fish for at least 1 of the categories, even if they win nothing will still get a tabletop trophy from me. A wall of those spinning trophies would look pretty sweet down the road. Awesome -- please post your link to your event thread at some point, and I'll add it to the original post for this week during the cross-over Adding in a sec, thanks! Adding, thanks Robyn Adding -- you rock! Yes, please -- any of the 3 towns competing each week (or anyone running an event in one of the 5 locations per week), please post a thread on the forums describing your event. I'll create a cross-over event section in the original post on this thread. So the next 3 towns best get to brainstorming some crossover events! And not too late for the current towns to do so as well Event weaving ftw!
