    Any thoughts on if an average player will be able to support the gold tax on an add-on store city deed ? I read somewhere it wasnt going to be possible and it would take a guild working together to accomplish it.

    We'll find out in R22. That's going to be our first taste of taxes.

    It's probably worth noting that City Lot Deeds are selling for 800,000 gold in game.

    So if we say taxes are 10% a month, that would be 80,000 gold.

    So what does the average player make in gold per day adventuring ? Is 80k realistic for one person ? Looking at it from what we can do in Pre-Alpha atm.

    It depends on who you are.

    If you're joe average casual player that's not realistic.

    If you're a successful merchant or part of a larger guild it's doable.

    But keep in mind that the economy is completely out of whack, and the 10% number is completely made up.

    Here I am after 4 hours straight of gathering resources in Verdantis Shardfall.

    You can currently sell a lot of those resources for much more than the "value" listed to the right. But is that what you want to do? Spend 4 hours grinding out resources? You could also go fight stuff, I'm told, in some areas that will give you a comparable amount of wealth. But again, this assumes you don't have anything better to do with your time.

    If we compare that to the minimum effort to maintain a taxable row lot (assuming 10%) that's just 12,000 gold. And you can certainly do THAT as a casual player.

    I would say that 40k for city lot taxes would be doable, but I doubt that the TAX amount would be different in owl's head vs. wherever. Maybe it would cost more if the town was popular?

    Taxes will be based on amounts of houses you own ( Dont think this is in for R22 ) , they have said that it would be hard for a normal player to support more than 2 hourses... Whatever that means :)

    Yeah, I don't think taxes will be based on the number of lots you own. That statement of not being able to afford 2 house can be explained by simple addition.

    It appears they expect taxes to not be trivial, so doubling them will be a significant drain. I highly doubt the taxes on your row lot will increase once claiming an additional village lot. You'll just have to manage the row taxes (which will stay the same) in addition to the village taxes.

    We'll see. What you said makes sense, but I seem to remember them saying it was a little more than that.

    I just meant that you were quoting lot prices on a private vendor that had double the cost of the ones in owls head.

    Oh, I thought that was a public vendor. But I guess it couldn't be right, because it's in a POT.

    Nah, that's a public vendor in an NPC shop. I just double checked in game.

    I understand that Owl's Head sells them cheaper, but Owl's Head sells everything cheaper. They devs I think are using that as a showcase for new players.

    I have heard it would be difficult for support more than a couple of houses but I have never heard that taxes will be linked to the amount of houses you have. In other words I have not heard anything to suggest that the actual tax per house will increase based on the total number.

    Hrm, maybe its something i assumed. Was so long ago that this was discussed by the devs.
