Combat locks up mid-fight

Title: Combat locks up mid-fight
Reproduction Rate: Not really sure, it seems random
Blocker? Yes, until I zone out of the scene or relog
Details: I get into combat and when the mob gets low health, it stops attacking me. At that point, I stop doing damage to it and my focus drains while attacking. I can step back, sheath my weapon and go out of combat... but my health and focus don't regen. The mob stands there (low health) staring at me.
Steps to Reproduce: Start a fight, cycle through my skills/spells, mob gets damaged, mob stops attacking and I lock up. I'm also seeing my skills turn gray and not able to cast them at some point (maybe after using once?).

Sorry I don't have more info to help resolve this yet. Someone in my guild said they are getting similar issue with the Earthquake spell (I'm not using that) and/or when they are leader of a party and leave the zone and re-enter. Maybe that will help?

My skills I'm using are:
Discharge / Fireball / Searing Ray / Fire Arrow / Death Touch / Fire Fist / Immolation / Enlightenment / Ignite Weapon. I have other skills in my deck, but those are the only ones I used when this happened.

More info:
After entering this "locked" state where the mob doesn't attack me any more... I can't mine crystal/ore nodes nor skin dead wolves. My avatar just runs in place when I try.

 

I have experienced this as well. the following error is spammed rapidly when this occurs.

How regularly does this occur? We're having difficulty reproducing it locally. Does it happen in only some scenes? Does it happen only while in a party? Any additional details would help us immensely to identify and solve this issue! Thank you for reporting!

 

i was using several so i cant say when exactly they appeared, but i was using the normal weapon charged attack (which feels messe dup atm), defelect from shields, dodge from light armor, crushing blow break weapon and knockdown from bludgeon.

And i dunno if it matters but all these errors seem more prominent in whiteguard foothills. ive also extensivly played in highvale and middle downs outside resolute and did not seem to get these errors much

 

I've had this happen a few times just last night, I was in a party with one other person. The zone would act like everyone froze, my partner froze in place as well. I was able to move around, unable to damage any enemies, and was able to leave the scene on foot, my partner was unable and had to quit the game.

I've also experienced some mobs freezing, then taking no damage for about 10-20 seconds, then suddenly I can attack again, this is after I'm re-positioning myself and enabling combat mode a few times... I have nothing much to provide besides this.

 

I'll report back if it happens again.

 

@EMPstrike , Did you cast a stealthing ability, happened to be with someone who did? What items did you have equipped? I am also seeing this in the logs when casting resurrect. But, I cannot reproduce locally which leads me to believe it's got something to do with equipment.

 

I've also had this happen a few times to me. I was not in a party I was using a weird mixture of Tier1 and Tier2 skills from Air, life, death, and maybe a water punch. I did not cast any stealth abilities or weapon skills although I was using charge attack spam with bludgeon weapon. This took place in Highvale zone attacking a Thug.

Equipment: Benefactor Cloak, Benefactor Tunic, Mace MH, Lesser Wand OH, Genghis Khan reward helm. The rest was mage starter gear.
Tools: All default with Artificer Sickle

I also cannot get this to recreate willingly.

I had a hand axe, augmented plate boot glove and pants, aug leather chest, and a heater shield. All npc-baught

 

This has happened to me every time I enter the ruined keep (gotta be 5 or 6 times, now), several times in ravensmoor and once in the tower of the shuttered eye. I was using discharge, healing touch and banish undead while wielding an NPC longbow and wearing npc bought fortified cloth, starter cloth boots and gloves and the emperor's new crown.

 

Same problems mostly in 5 level locations(Crag, savernoc) more than 30+ times, helps only game restart(even re-enter to location did`t help). 4-5 times I saw corelation with respawn of nearby mobs. Only range and airmagic skills used.

 

Would anyone here be able to verify if this issue is still occurring as of patch 409-410? Thank you for reporting.

edit: this is talking about patch 409, have not tried 410 yet.

@Attenwood I ran around Ruined Keep doing the same things that locked me up before and didn't have any issues, hurray!

 

@Attenwood Healing touch is still stopping me in my tracks, Dash is 50/50.

Tried Touch from combat and non-combat, Dash from non-combat only.

Gotta go back to work, but will try again later.

 

Linux? If so, then that is a separate issue, and one we're still investigating.

 

Win 10. I can post specs later.
Noticed Death Touch still does it too. Again, not consistent. Maybe 80% of the time Dash works, Healing Touch and Death Touch almost always lock me up.
