Cooking quest for the Outskirts areas

There should be a quest that walks the player through the process of creating food since running out of focus can be a problem at the beginning of the game.

Here is an example for Solace Bridge Outskirts -

1. Butcher a fish - add a butchery table to the camp, collect fish from loot or the nearby pond.

2. Assemble ingredients - make the ingredients more available on crafting vendor or in the area - increase the drop rate for nuts, add lemon trees.

3. Give the player the recipes or instructions on how to make the cooking oil and the baked salmon, trout.

Yes we definitely need cooking Quests, fishing Quests, planting Quests, and not just as a tutorial quest but as dailies for something to do throughout this game.

 

Agreed, there have been a lot of improvements to the starter scenes but more tutorial content still needs to be added.

 

We had some recent work on crafting quests in starting areas which was listed in the release notes, however I do not know what they consist of.

 

They are the same quest - tailoring crafting tutorial in Resolute, Soltown and Aerie.
