Crafting math finaly solved!!!

    When everyone says something is off.... usually something is off.

    I am guessing this affects gathering skills as well? Always wondered why you could fail at 100% chance.

    It's possible to fail a 100% gather because it's a rounded number, just like a spell with a 100% success rate can fizzle. The % on a spell goes away when it's truly 100%.

    I still think that there is a double check in the math somewhere. For example, .95 * .95 = .9025 which matches what I've experienced.

    The Double check seems to be the best explanation so far. Because in true form they could never trust an unsecured roll coming in saying you succeeded as there is a way to cheat that. But if client says aye, and sends off aye packet to fire aye code. The server does its own check and sends back aye or nay. Explains how every time I am fishing i get a green succeed followed by a nothing.

    But then again there is not one single good RNG part of sota i have found. Loot is way random. 8 arti drop in one go, and then 20 corpse in a row of nothing...

    Seems like that's what happening anecdotally. But then why have the client do a check at all if the server is going to overrule that roll anyways? Unnecessary network traffic.
