Crash to Desktop of the Avatar

6 times in one hour. I'm using regular client. Not steam. I have no tech details. I was just wondering if people were experiencing an unusual amount of CTDs. Grrrrr.

 

About the same, but mine was the memory access violation issue.

Same here, just happened in Blood river. Also happened once when I was trying to enter Brittany and Owl's head

Could you elaborate on what you were doing in the game at the time. The scene you were in. What Operating system you were using? System specs might also assist us in investigating this issue. Thanks!

 

@Attenwood... Every crash has been transitioning from Overworld to Resolute/Highvale and vice versa. Windows 10 64bit. AMD 8350 8 core 4ghz, 16 gigs ram, EVGA GTX670.

All drivers are up to date. I can send you the crash info folder if you want me to.

 

I've also been crashing when going between scenes and over world map. Just happened trying to exit middle downs. Win 10 64bit amd 8350 8 core 4ghz 16 gig ram sapphire radeon r9 270x 2gb.

 

About the same. Made it through the intro, finding the elven necklace, etc. no problem. Playing in Soltice Bridge and have crashed 6 times. Sometimes just walking, once when I died, once when trying to loot, etc. Sometimes minutes apart, sometimes less than a minute - all very very annoying.

 

Same here, crashed me to desk top. Was in over world map doing nothing, was thinking where to go lol. A box on desktop said OOOPS send blah blah blah file to dev. something like that. Who do i send it to? Can't load it here so I guess I email it? ty Have win7, 64bit.

Same as the others. Repeated crashing while on my laptop. Currently, has windows 10 on it and the non-steam launcher. Unfortunately, I'm at work so I'll have to post specs on it when I get home. First couple crashes happened when trying to load to over world map. Never could figure out what was causing the other crashes when they happened (nothing else consistent after the first few times).

 

I have had 3 or 4 crashes to the desktop, doing different things, walking around scenes. Running windows 10 pro, 16G ram I7 2600K processor Nvidia GTX 670 video card.

 

In my case so far... I'm very stable in single player but when in multiplayer I crash on nearly every transition. Though also so far I'm mostly just looking at new areas in North Paladis since it's my back yard. Come to think of it.. the first thing that happened when I created my character was crash before loading Isle of Storms.

Crashes to desktop something fierce. Not only during loading screens either. sometimes it leaves no trace that the game was even running. no process stop notification or crash report log notification, just straight to desktop.

 

I just crashed 3 times in Eastreach Gap. Two of those times while I was trying to exit to Novia. It taught me not to Resume on Overworld Map because that put me back on the side of the Gap I entered at and not at the side I was leaving to.

 

Same here with the crashes. Sometimes crashes after log in, sometimes crashes in transitions, sometimes after death or just moving around. Pretty random. Did not have this issue ever prior to Release 29. I am going through Steam to access the game with a i7 16GB and and Nvidia 960 4Gb. Running Windows 10, 64bit. Again, no issues prior to the new release.

 

I, too, have experienced the dreaded Crash to the Desktop of the Avatar.... multiple times today. In fact, it seemed to have gotten worse with Release 29.

Prior to Release 29, I would crash maybe once or maybe twice a day. It was usually when I was exiting a scene... didn't matter which scene either... it was completely random.

Now, with Release 29, I've crashed the majority of times exiting scenes.... again, very random and it doesn't matter which scene. However, besides that, I've started crashing at random moments during play as well... the last 2 times were in the middle of 2 different battles in the Approach to the Shuttered Eye. I've just started tackling that zone so many of the mobs are greater than average difficulty for me to begin with so it's really disheartening to crash in the middle of a battle... especially a battle I'm winning.

Yup, also crashing to desktop more often this release when exiting random scenes.
