Wait until you visit the Epitaph and meet the howling slimes

But now that they have a full-time sound egineer, I am afraid all of these will be replaced by proper sound effects.

 

@Cassandra Corax @Fox Cunning Fox is correct! Many of the creature sounds in the game either are missing or have placeholders. The barking crocodiles being one of our favorites. Once we have proper sounds to replace them with, you will slowly see them disappear.
