Dev's: Sooner or Later you're going to be screamed at for this....

Shroud has given us the best of all possible worlds:
Multiplayer, Friends Only or Single Player - all online - and (coming) Single Player Offline.

It's a wonderful thing - the choices.
However, I, like many people, play quite a bit with friends. Most of these friends are in my guild and we all enjoy adventuring/discovering on a daily basis. We love being a part of Pre-release with our ability to play and give our feedback.

Well, here's some feedback:

One of the things that is most aggravating for ALL of us, is not having a way to tell which of the 3 modes we're "currently" in - without having to go thru the aggravation of Exiting to Menu and then going all the way back to the login to see what mode that is.

This IS a big issue for those of us who adventure with friends on a daily basis.

We need that info so we can be assured that we're all in the same scene when we meet up.

Please, please give us (what was considered in one Hangout as a good idea) an "indicator" of some kind - on our screen - that lets us know what "mode" we're currently in.

It can be a small dot that changes colors based on your current mode. The client obviously knows what mode we're in (since it denies us the ability to be together in a scene if our current mode is wrong) - so have the client TELL US what it already knows....

This would be very helpful, actually, especially if someone logs in and is wondering why they can't find certain people or vendors

 

Make it a command. Just tag it to the scene master output. So currently when you type /whoismaster it tells you who owns the scene, it could easily add that info behind it.
EX: /whoismaster williefred is the leader of snuckers; Friends Only Online

Btw, we need to add another indicator to the list. (SPO Blocked because you're in a PVP area or you're PVP Flagged)

Yeah sometimes you just want some "Me" time and that is impossible. EQ had the best /ano and you were invisible to everyone on the social list.

 

+++ 1000 Needs to be done, more important than renaming what a NPC town is that is for sure

 

Especially with the current creeper friends list that doesn't need to be mutual.

I also had mentioned something a while back about putting a button on the Escape menu to allow you to toggle between online modes. It could show the current mode and when clicked it could pop up a radio button menu to allow us to choose what mode we wish to change into.

It would save one whole loading cycle, which reduces downtime.
