There is a Train Dexterity skill in the Subterfuge tree. Unfortunately, you have to train the Distract skill to get to it, but it is worth it.

There is also a dexterity buff in the Air tree called Air's Embrace.

There are 4 total sources of DEX.
    1. "Train Dexterity" in the subterfuge tree
    2. "Air's Embrace" buff in the Air magic tree
    3. "Moon Worship" in the Moon magic tree, only works at night
    4. Enchantments on all of your armor pieces, ring, necklace, and weapon.

Dexterity, as far as I can gather (this is not tested in any way, but what I've read and been told) affects your ability to hit things (melee/ranged) and defend (dodging/blocking).. possibly more. All three base stats (Int, Str, Dex) are used for many things and many builds.. so do not neglect dex if you are melee or mage!

Dexterity increases your chance to hit with both melee and ranged attacks, it increases your critical chance with both melee and ranged attacks, it increases your chance to dodge attacks and makes you harder to hit, and it also increases damage and other beneficial effects of Air magic skills.

So any melee, archer, or Air mage must have dexterity to be effective.

You can mouse over stats (on paper doll 'C' , and the tooltip shows a list of what is modified by the stat.

Some are certainly easier to get via passives and buffs, others rely a lot more on upgraded gear (INT I'm looking at you lol)

I didn't knew about the air-magic part... thanks for the info... though I don't understand the relation between air-magic and dexterity...

The relation is the mouse-over on the glyphs! :D No good reason. ;) Earth uses strength.. same reason.

I guess the relation is that Earth can be thought of as strong. It's tough and hard to break. Whereas Air flows freely, and lightning is quick.

Still, I don't know how one's personal agility would effect the damage of a spell. Same with strength. It's not like you're throwing Obsidian Arrow like a javelin or something.

Exactly... I could see how a high air-skill might effect dexterity...but the other way around is something I don't get... but well, I've seen stranger things...

It's magic. It's not going to make logical sense. If it did it would be called science.

So, after i get "Train Dexterity" i just go play in the woods and it builds dext?
Edit: What i meant to ask is if i just go do my normal thing and the "Train Desterity" skill increases in level, or should i use a bow or daggers or something of that nature?

Pretty much yes! Its a passive that is triggered out there just doing normal things. Be careful at first, it is a very expensive XP skill. Plan to take it up to 40 fast then lock it and start managing your skills better, it will soak up a lot if you are lower level killing lower level mobs. Then start easing it up say 5 points at a time until 60. Be careful above 60. Mine is at 85 now at adv level 91 and it is *Very* slow to raise.

The basic stats training skills take up a LOT of XP, so beware!
