Discord - questions and concerns

We (several in our guild, all of us professionals) have some serious concerns with how Discord seems to be set up in SotA. The concerns revolve around privacy and Non-Disclosure Agreements. @Chris @dallas @Attenwood

Questions:
- Do chat logs go to Portalarium?
--- [I have always thought they did, but now we need to know for certain.]

- The game is apparently detecting every Discord channel we are in - whether or not those channels have anything to do with SotA. I know that to see a channel in SotA you must check the box for that channel. (I put that in bold only because I know that someone who is reading quickly might not see that and will answer "Well, you have to check the box to see it in SotA" - but I already know that.)
My concern/question regarding the foregoing is this:
--- Is Portalarium getting all the data from Discord and only showing us the channels we check?
--- Or is Portalarium only getting data from the channels we check?

Why this matters to us:
- Some of our people use Discord for more than SotA. They are using it for business and they are handling proprietary information.

Agree, this need an official answer, @Lord British, @dallas, @DarkStarr, @Chris. I would also think that any and all information received, even on game related channels, on any of these channels is secured and requires a privacy agreement?

If something is seen in SotA chat from Discord, it goes to the SotA chat log. I had always thought that the chat logs went to Portalarium. But I was mistaken about that?

 

Would've been nice to include this information into the Release Notes. Unfortunately, Starr doesn't take feedback on release notes (if it's related to design decisions) so this is the kind of thing that is often overlooked.

 

I believe that chat log would be on your computer, not on sota servers.

 

Some of us are server administrators and/or owners on servers that require 2fa, and this is not something we can turn off. Do we know when 2fa will be enabled to pass through the discordapi via sota chat?
