Dye Recipies Disappeared from Book

Prior to R27, I had a half a dozen Dye recipes in my book. Today, those recipes are gone. I can relearn them and they pop back into the book. Just wanted the powers that be to know that recipes disappeared from my book.

Update: Smelting Recipes for Granite Blocks are also now gone. Can be relearnt.

 

I lost all dye recipes, granite recipes and multiple others. Is anything going to be done about this or do I just need to buy them all again?

As long as you know what they were then you can just put those items in the crafting station and re-learn for free.

I lost all of my bowstave recipes amongst others from when I crafted one of each type for bonus tracking purposes. I will just buy one and then replicate on the other types.

 

Yeah, but you lose the double-click ability to pull the needed ingredients.

I apologize for the recipes vanishing from your recipe book. Our recipes get a unique id based on the makeup of the ingredients and tools used to craft them. This id was changing when the recipe was modified, which wouldn't be an issue normally... we just had a lot of recent changes to recipes that caused this. To prevent this from happening again, I have created a new id that is not based on the ingredients so that you can keep your recipes forever and ever... even if they are changed . Thank you for letting us know! Happy crafting .

 

If you know the recipe by heart, you can place the ingredients manually and craft it. After the first manual craft, the recipe will re-appear in your crafting journal and can be double clicked from that point forward. After the next patch goes out containing the fix for this issue, I would then recommend buying the recipes again at that time, since they will now be based on a non-changing id.
