All Remaining Episode 2 Town Voucher Redemptions:
Thank you, the bulk of the data intake is complete for the Mistrendur Land Rush town location selections. I'll still be accepting stragglers if any players have unutilized EP2 Player Owned Town Vouchers. Simply open a forum conversation with me (Elgarion), provide the following information, and I'll walk you through the whole process individually:
    • ACCOUNT NAME OF TOWN OWNER
    • TOWN NAME
    • ACCOUNT NAME OF VOUCHER OWNER
    • TIMESTAMP OF EP2 VOUCHER PURCHASE
    • PRIMARY: ###
    • ALTERNATE: ###
Please select your primary and alternate locations utilizing the available numbers in the image. The image will be updated periodically (089, 141, 10 are also taken):

Land Rush Guidance (14 March - 4 April, Reference):

Here ye! Here ye! By royal decree, the process details for the Mistrendur land rush has been issued to the peoples of New Britannia and are posted below! The time has come for players which made POT reservations in the new territory to step forward and be heard! Take heed of the following guidance:

The site selections will be made in the sequence the reservation vouchers were purchased but will also utilize a selection bracket concept to group the participants. Selection brackets will assist developers with data entry and will streamline communication with customers during this process.
    • Each bracket will consist of approximately 15% of those awaiting selection (~20 towns per bracket). Each bracket will last for 3 days before the next bracket commences selection.
      • All brackets begin AND end at Noon CST
      • Bracket 1: March 14 - March 17
      • Bracket 2: March 17 - March 20
      • Bracket 3: March 20 - March 23
      • Bracket 4: March 23 - March 26
      • Bracket 5: March 26 - March 29
      • Bracket 6: March 29 - April 1
      • Bracket 7: April 1 - April 4
    • If you are late for your bracket, you cannot bump anyone from closed/completed brackets, but you can participate in the current bracket that is up for selection. You would be placed at the top of that bracket and ranked by sequence of purchase amongst all participants of that bracket.
    • For transfer voucher types, to determine in which bracket you belong and where your place is within the selection sequence, please go to your account page add-ons tab and locate your voucher entry. The timestamp of this purchase is your unique identifier to determine where you fall within the selection cycle.

    • For new town voucher types, since your new town voucher for EP2 has already been converted to a town pledge entry, to determine in which bracket you belong and where your place is within the selection sequence, please go to your account page towns tab and locate your town entry. Thie timestamp of this purchase (which matches the timestamp of your voucher purchase) is your unique identifier to determine where you fall within the selection cycle.

    • Review the spreadsheet to see where your timestamp is located within the sequence. In your row of information, the bracket # and your dates of selection will appear. Please make note of this information.
    • During your bracket time slot, create a forum conversation with Elgarion and include the following criteria:
      • ACCOUNT NAME OF TOWN OWNER
      • TOWN NAME
      • ACCOUNT NAME OF VOUCHER OWNER
      • TIMESTAMP OF EP2 VOUCHER PURCHASE
      • PRIMARY: 097
      • ALTERNATE 1: 117
      • ALTERNATE 2: 032
    • EP2 POT Transfer Vouchers do not include customization changes to include biome, name or interconnection changes. Only the 50 vouchers related to NEW towns (Episode 2 Player Owned Town with Overland Access Reservations) will be empowered to customize their town, since it has not yet been designed.
    • New town reservations (Episode 2 Player Owned Town with Overland Access Reservations) were originally sold as reservation vouchers for $500 with intent to collect $400 more upon delivery for actual town creation at the Holdfast size. We've decided, that instead of immediately collecting the $400 to acquire the smallest town size known as a Holdfast, to offer this by default at the already paid for price of $500. The $400 would not be collected unless they decide to upgrade the town at a later time, as the discount would automatically reinsert itself into the upgrade cost for the first upgrade performed by the town. We're considering this an introductory price concept for these new town owners so that they may experience Holdfast town ownership as quickly as possible.
    • New town reservations (Episode 2 Player Owned Town with Overland Access Reservations) could very likely be 1st time town owners. Just to fill you in, you'll fall into the selection queue just like the others as indicated above, BUT you will have something a bit extra to do. You'll get to submit your very first unlocked POT form available on your Towns tab in your Account page. Albeit you'll still utilize the above instructions for submitting your selection items as indicated above, you'll also need to submit your town's form with information such as the town name, the biome/template as well as up to 3 interconnections. Please note that NPC Towns are not yet available in Mistrendur and no interconnections are being reserved for them at this time. However, you may use any of your 3 interconnections to connect with existing towns in Novia or Hidden Vale. As NPC Towns are added to Mistrendur, you may purchase a generic POT Form Unlock Voucher to add interconnections with them at that time after they become available. If you place your location selection preferences in your unlocked form, then submit, we will not be regarding these via the form as they're likely to change depending upon choices made by others within your bracket and before. Please utilize the above described process for submitting location selection choices via the private conversation method. No worries! I'll be here to guide you through the process, and we're hoping to make the transition to town ownership as smooth as possible for you!
    • Existing interconnections will remain in all towns moving to Mistrendur. Even if a town had 27 interconnections in EP1 lands, when placed into Mistrendur, that town will retain those interconnections regardless of where they are in the world. This is an introduction to new teleportation concepts that will be expanding into game. Eventually, players will even gain the ability to purchase items from the COTO store (in lieu of a service voucher) for creating custom interconnections to any other town, regardless of location.
    • If a nested player owned town exists which resides ONLY nested within a single host town owned by another player (meaning 1 way in), and that host town is moving to Mistrendur, and the nested town owner does not wish to move, they must contact support@portalarium.com to make this known. We'll move your nested location to an NPC town or POT near your current location. If the replacement location is a POT, you must have that owner's permission, which would also require that person to contact us at support@portalarium.com. If no contact is made in regards to the host town moving to Mistrendur, we will assume that the move was a collaborative decision between the host and its nested town owners. If an absent town owner affected by this scenario discovers this has occurred during a long absence, they may still contact us to remedy the situation after the move occurs.
    • The above scenario will also cover the needs of a nested town with multiple interconnects, wherein ALL their interconnections choose to move to Mistrendur against their will. The same rules will apply.
    • If a nested town has multiple interconnects and one of those interconnects moves to Mistrendur, but the others remain in Novia or the Hidden Vale, they will now have the ability to exit their town into multiple continents. This scenario would allow player storyline to indicate they are in either continent or perhaps a midway point in travel between.
    • Nested to nested transfers... the 5 towns affected by this transfer type will be contacted individually and handled based upon their individual nesting scenario. This voucher type has been discontinued and now displays as sold out.
    • Please do not send reservations ahead of your bracket unless mitigating circumstances require it (internet unavailable during bracket period, for instance.) Requests ahead of the bracket will not be considered earlier, and only held until that bracket goes live.
    • Players may delay their selection intentionally, and will only be able to reserve one of the remaining locations upon the end of their requested delay. Essentially, you cannot take up a slot in Novia/Hidden Vale, reserve a spot in Mistrendur then ask for a delay in your move. A request for a delay = losing your current reservation and you'll need to repick from remaining locations once your desire for delay has ended.
    • Please be mindful that as we collect this data, it will take us time to process the transfers or additions of the towns. We'll work as quickly as possible.
    • Players with multiple vouchers are not permitted to swap the sequence of selection between the vouchers they own. For instance if one voucher for one town was purchased early, and is in Bracket 1, and another voucher for another town that person controls was purchased late, and is in Bracket 7, the selection process remains in the sequence of purchase, and cannot be flipped between the two vouchers.
    • The map below shows locations from 001 - 150+ which is a representation of the available locations to pick from for your POT placement.
    • Coastal town selection will provide 2 options: a coastal town or island town just offshore from that selection.
    • Transfers involving a biome change or name change will require the entire town to be reset, so you'll need to have everyone pack everything into the Property Manager/Magic Movers system for the move.
    • If you would like to visit Mistrendur and walk around for a better feel, simply go to the boat by Noreach on the QA client. This boat will also appear on the live client shortly and before the land rush begins. Currently on the live client, you can ask to be teleported there by a GM or teleport to a friend who already has access, after which point a zone scroll would work for your return visit.
    • Purple Indicators: potential NPC/story towns (more will be speckled in eventually)
    • Orange/Red Indicators: potential adventure scenes (more will be speckled in eventually)

Adventure Scene 1: Dark Mysterious Forest
    [IMG]

A dark, mysterious forest sits between a mountain to the north and a putrid swamp to the south. Various denizens of medium-to-high threat abound amongst this dark and foreboding mire, including a new creature that will challenge those that dare enter.

    Adventure Scene 2: Pirate Harrrrrbor
    [IMG]

Landlubbers beware! Ye be unwelcome here! ’Tis a high-threat port for pirates and pirates alone! Our crews will brook no trespassers, savvy?

    Adventure Scene 3: Canyon Mines
    [IMG]

These canyons are abundant with resources that any Avatar would cherish. Albeit low threat, the snaking passages winding through this large scene have caused many adventurers to become lost within the endless labyrinth.

Adventure Scene 4: Dragon Worshiping Zealots
    [IMG]

Dragons are majestic, vicious beings which inspire love and fear amongst the peoples of New Britannia. Here, in this low-to-medium threat scene, zealots worship and defend the giant winged beasts as if gods. How might they welcome strangers to their territory?

    Adventure Scene 5: Salt Mines
    [IMG]

Brave adventurers can find salt mines sprinkled alongside the frozen depths of the mountainous maw, dangerous tunnels of ice and salt abound with extreme threats. Do the Obsidian Elves within the nearby fortress protect these resource-rich catacombs, or do other dangers lie within?

Adventure Scene 6: Frozen Cliffside Monastery
    [IMG]

Nestled amongst the treacherous cliffside of this icy mountain lies an ancient and forgotten monastery. The undead monsters of middle-to-high threat which populate this all-but-forgotten place of worship seem quite eager to “greet” those that disturb their eternal rest.

Adventure Scene 7: Expansive White-Out Arctic Region
    [IMG]

Blasted with high winds and blinding snow, this isolated arctic scene features enemies that pose an extreme threat to even the hardiest adventurers. Expect white-out conditions in this expansive snowy region where large creatures run amok.

Town Scene 1: Norgardian Swamp Outpost
    [IMG]

This small Norgardian outpost rests within a dead wood swamp at the foot of a giant mountain. In this scene, areas surrounding the outpost will feature medium-to-high threats.

Town Scene 2: Crossroads Outpost, New Race
    [IMG]

At a crossroads, a new race of beings will govern a small wilderness outpost. Medium-to-high threats will be available in the areas surrounding the outpost within this scene.

Town Scene 3: Norgardian Coastal City
    [IMG]

This fortified Norgardian city is along a shoreline of a temperate region. This location has a potential rivalry with Town 4, just across the channel. These Norgarders have an organized military and have mastered the ways of agriculture and animal husbandry. This scene will feature low-to-no threats.

Town Scene 4: Barbarian Coastal Village
    [IMG]

This small coastal village scene features a barbarian tribe which thrives upon plunder and the spoils of war. The edge of the scene may contain low-to-medium threats. This faction is potentially at odds with Town 3 across the channel.

Town Scene 5: Kobold Coastal Village
    [IMG]

This medium-sized village features Kobolds in a coastal setting. Low-to-medium threats may be encountered toward the edge of this scene.

Town Scene 6: Main City, Arrival Point
    [IMG]

This prosperous city is the primary arrival point for Avatars coming to Mistrendur. Expect a thriving New Britannian populace with introductory quests for the new continent. The homes of this bustling city are connected by picturesque canals and the inhabitants use boats to make their way through the city. This scene features little-to-no threats.

Town Scene 7: Obsidian Elven Fortress

Cloaked by the shadow of the mountainous maw lies an icy fortress ruled by Obsidian elves who engage in trade with some nearby communities. This scene features little-to-no threat and will have quests available for Avatars delving into the bitter cold of this frosty Mistrendur island.

    :) -------------------------------- :) -------------------------------- :)

Thank you for your assistance in these matters! This is QUITE the undertaking for us tackle, so please be patient as we sort out all incoming requests for information as well as the actual selection submissions. Please post questions for this process below.

The times above are missing a colon to separate the hours from minutes.
Also, one of the times uses lower case letter 'o' instead of numeral '0'

Is there an easy way to tie the /loc to the labels?
I want to make sure I'm picking the correct one.

I think they mean to change the maps above so they show the lot # for each POT.

Also, for the sake of clarity, can you show where the boats will be to the other islands and Novia?

    Thanks

Yup, good idea. I'll add shortly when the numbers get added. As for your other question, it's all approximations to the location. We'll do our best to put the labels in the true spot on the map above which should reflect very closely to your final location. For instance, if you pick 117, we'll get you to as close to 117 as we can on the in-game map. Still working the numbers, we'll get those in shortly.

    Good approach. Nice job!

One suggestion: Sticky this at the top of the forums so it is easy to find later.

I've never been in a land rush.
Are there locations that are off-limits?
Are there markers to choose similar to deed markers?
When I went there early this week, I did not see any markers.

    Are these location markers?

I am probably the only one interested, but is this new land available for exploration in a single-player offline version of the game? Is there a mechanic to place an overland town in SP?

Land Run! As an Okie, wish I could be a Sooner (OK historical reference) but I'm at 101 for the 'rush.'
Hope you all with earlier slots give us some guidance as you go through the process...knowing the community, I'm sure you will.

Is it really fair that an upgrade to overland reservation costing 1oo bucks or overland transfer costing $50 is given equal treatment to a new town purchase costing $500? Just saying...

I would have expect new POT bought for ep2 to be prioritize before either upgrade or token transfert... i personnaly think this should be adress and people who bought a new pot specificaly for ep2 should have first pick in terms of location and be in the top bracket... @Elgarion

Honestly, as I'm near the bottom of the picks for an Episode 2 (nested to overland upgrade), none of the picking order matters much to me. What does matter is placing a town not knowing where the future dungeon, mine, major sight locations will be. I can see how some might want to be by a volcano or other map feature and that's what they are worried about, but I'm kind of glad I'm near the bottom. I will wait until the dungeon/mine/town locations are indicated.
