Few questions from a newbie

Hi guys, liking the game so far, nice graphics but have a few issues need answering;

Utility Hotbar

I've tried everything but i cant get the utility bar to appear.
Known issue or bugged?

Fishing

Is it implemented yet fully?
I've bought the fishing skill but as above am unable to equip it as i cant get my utility bar to appear.
Bugged? Known issue?

Deck Manager

I press the button to open the deck manager but it wont open and in the chat box says i don't have the right abilities?
What abilities do i need? Seems odd!

Progression 1-5 skulls

I'm currently in 1 skull zones but am able to take on 4-5 mobs without dying. How do i know when i am ready to move to a 2 skull zone?

Not sure about utility bar or what u mean.
Fishing has like 3 fish n scraps atm but a big overhaul for it had been pushed back last few releases for higher priority things. So yes its coming hehe.
Deck manager might be limited at tutorial im not sure... should be able to adjust unless they cjsnged it.
Your killen 5 mobs and not dieing. Go to a 2 or 3 untill you find it challenging hahah

 

Deck building and the hotbar can be unlocked by talking to a skill or combat trainer.

From the player instructions:

 

Nameplate Colors and Creature Strength

 

Not sure if it's been reported, but you're the second person I've heard complaining that it doesn't drag on to the beginner hotbar so probably worth reporting.

I would move on when mobs change color from yellow to green for example.

 

Ahh never noticed the color, which is pretty bad as i have played plenty of mmos before lol thanks

 

There are some other threads concerning the fishing issue ...

@Cobra101 was able to help me with this.
You need to unlock the noncombat bar before fishing. The fishing glyph will not drag to the combat bar. To unlock the second bar , Cobra101 directed me to "The adventurer trainer, who is by the tents closest to the blacksmith, teaches the utility bar"

Hope this helps. I also hope the devs take note because several people have reported having trouble with this.

Lots to learn, T1 can be used later harvesting without a lot of aggression or danger from Mobs ;-)

 

TBH I can't believe they didn't get the non combat bar issue fixed before releasing the outskirts to the real world.

I'm sure it will be by r42, but until then every single new player is going to run around without it until they ask here. @Berek knock down some doors and make them fix this! NPE took a major step back with this error.

Remember that means no light for new players until they check the forums or wait for r42.

To avoid the confusion of having the trainer do it, just drop a new NPC in who's only function is the hotbar and charged attack.

 

There is a fishing vendor and you need worms in your inventor and you need your utility bar.

I hope the devs are fixing that issue.

 

And you need to know how to drag glyphs to the bar, which is also absent.

 

I posted in the bug forms this is a big one.

 

Me too, and in feedback in Dev+, both issues. And I'm sure they will get fixed.

Bur not fixing first is like starting the town drivers education class and hiding the steering wheel.

OK still not got them working

Im in Resolute

Combat trainer - ive tried deck, decks, deck manager and the trainer doesnt understand me. What do i type to unlock the deck manager?

Adventure trainer - ive tried utility, utility bar, utility hotbar...no luck. What do i need to type to get the utility hotbar ?

2. Click on the hello/'good morrow' keyword in the chat window
   
   
3. Click on 'advanced techniques'
   
   
4. Click on the appropriate keywords to learn the corresponding things (e.g. utility hotbar)
