Flatulence Emote

We should have this. Would be fun. And is realistic therefore immersive. Please make it so?

How would the emote look? Or would it just be the sound?

 

Send people scratch and sniff pads and the game will them what to smell.

 

Flatulence?! Doesn't this mean the rest of us will need even faster travel to clear the area?

 

*Run's quickly as a small cloud of deadly gas drifts her way after passing Budner on his way to the 4th Tavern of the night.* The bevy of flies drop dead to the ground in his wake. Cats quiver as their silky fur turns to dust.

 

I got jailed in UO one time. For doing a custom made flatulence emote, sort of. Here's the story. I dressed a newb character up as a pirate. I was 100% in character for 2 hours straight at Brit bank. This was 1999. I think I was Captain Hawk from Serpent Isle. I had an elaborate backstory, I Caught fish right there in the British Castle moat, cut the fish up, cooked the fish, ate the fish. Waited a while. Got out my dye tub (dyed blue), made some custom emotes and then dyed the tub brown. Either enough players complained or an invisible GM was standing there. Either way I got jailed for like 72 hours! For role playing!

Hope such careless injustices such as the above mentioned jailing don't happen in SotA.

 

This game does need smell-o-vision for such situations....

They could always put in a light cloud puff, sort of like in Owl's Nest there is a rising waft from some cooked meat representing the scent. I remember a long time ago there was a thread on how to visualize smell... I think that came out of a discussion in that thread.
